We were told it was going to be a long wait for food, as they were experiencing staff shortages, like most restaurants. So we decided to stay anyway, and yes it took a long time for food, an hour and a half. Fortunately the river front atmosphere, being with our friends, and the live dinner music playing was enough for us to forget about the wait. Tuesday beautiful early eve..We were the only people there.The server was new and poorly trained.The steamers were very good ,the chowder was thin and not much of anything in it. Salad was just greens in a takeout dish nothing in it at all other than lettuce.Only dressing was packages of awful commercial stuff.Another couple came and sat for a long time finally left.It is a lovely place on the river and could be a "goldmine".

Kayaking in Lake Zoar and a Google search led us to the Riverview. Instantly fell in love. It was a gorgeous day and to be able to eat outside on the river in a casual atmosphere was the best. Plus they had live jazz music! The host let us know our food would take a while--probably about 20 minutes so not too bad. I had to order the weekend special brisket sandwich.
