Great Traditional Italian food. Had the veal Parmesan and it was very good. Their salads are very fresh and very appealing. The pizza is very good one of the best in Fairfield County cooked in a wood fire oven. Drinks and beer are also very reasonably priced and refreshing. A solid staple in the Shelton area.

There are not enough words to say how INCREDIBLE this special place is! Marcello, Alyssa and Jonathan are on top of EVERYTHING! My husband and I are here just about every Saturday night relaxing and enjoying absolutely every single moment. The Clams Oreganata are OUT OF THIS WORLD! Then anything…..literally anything of the menu is just delicious. This is a family that takes incredible pride in ALL that they do and gosh….I JUST CAN’T SAY ENOUGH! Thank you for a fabulous experience week after week!!!

We took our mom here for Mother’s Day and regretted every minute of it. We received our drinks fairly quickly and a basket of bread but when it came to the food the wait was horribly long. We finally got our appetizers about 30 minutes of waiting. Then another 30 minutes later salads came out. Then after a long almost 45 minutes later our meals came out. You would think the meal was going to be amazing waiting that long but we were very disappointed. Small portions for the prices. Flavor was not good. They give you meat and no sides. We were never checked on to see if we needed anything. Never offered a dessert menu. We ordered chicken parmigiana veal parmigiana and ziti with meatballs. The only thing I can say about that place was the bread was good. I will never recommend this place to anyone. I also would like to add it was not busy in there and I actually got up to walk around to see if there was possibly a large party in the back and that’s why it was taking so long and there wasn’t. The wait staff down to the food was not an enjoyable experience. We all left there hungry and disappointed after spending over $200

Restaurant was not that busy, but it took a long time to have our orders placed. Had 2 “Flamingo” drinks, 1st one tasted like there was no alcohol in it, 2nd one definitely tasted stronger. This is not a “typical” Italian restaurant. You don’t get pasta and a salad included with every meal? Doesn’t even specify what meals come with what? I ordered pollo marsala & it came with a salad. It was loaded with salt. Mentioned it to waiter and he said “it’s the beef stock”…yuck. My boyfriend got the eggplant parmigiana & it did not come with a salad? He ordered broccoli rabe and it was really good. Prices were too high for the quality of food this restaurant is serving. First time here. Will try somewhere else next time.

This was our first time here. It was recommended by family who live in the area. There was 7 of us. My son found a live stink bug crawling around in his salad. We called the waiter over and he confirmed it was a stink bug. He acted like it was no big deal. He took the salad away and didn’t charge us. Did not offer an alternative. No manager visited the table. We were shocked at the lack of professionalism regarding a really disgusting incident. We didn’t want compensation, just acknowledgment and a sincere apology. We will NEVER be back.

I have been going to Carmine’s here in Shelton and Brick Oven in Bridgeport before that because Carmine and his staff make the best food and have the best service I’ve experienced in over 4 decades, I have lived in different parts of the state and still travel back to here when I want a great meal or it’s a special occasion because it’s always been out of this world.
We were totally disappointed! We had a party of 7 and my son found a live stink bug crawling around his salad. The waiter laughed and confirmed it was a stink bug. He acted like it was no big deal and told me my son didn't want a salad anyway (his meal didn't come with a salad so I asked waiter to bring him one once we all were eating). Waiter said it was karma! Not sure what that meant. We were shocked and disappointed no manager came over. The incident was not taken seriously. There are too many other good Italian restaurants in the area with friendly and courteous staff. Bug free. We will not be back.

After being sat last night, no one came to the table. No water, nothing. We had to go up to the bar to order our bottle of wine and remind them we were there. And then, when the waiter finally came to bring us drinks, he dropped an entire martini and it went all over my aunt. The kicker, they never took it off the bill. This is terrible service & management. It was a huge disappointment all around. With all of the amazing Italian restaurants in CT, there is no need to ever go back here. Get it together.
