Sorry to say we were very disappointed. It took “50” minutes for our breakfast for 2 people to come out. My pancakes were cold and dry. Wait staff were attentive and pleasant. You obviously need more kitchen help!

This is a very pleasant place for breakfast or lunch. The food is quite good. The servers are excellent, both friendly and efficient. The only thing I have issue with is that the cokes are $4.00. Even in this time of often higher prices, $4.00 is too much. $3.50 would be appropriate.

I love this place! Been coming here for years, whenever I'm visiting from out of town I always make it a point to stop and eat here. The food is always great, fresh and homemade, their homemade corn chowder is awesome. The waitresses are always friendly and helpful and there's plenty of parking.

Super friendly service. They were busy on a late Saturday morning, but we had no complaints on the service. Pancakes were not bad, but the veggie omelette and home fries were great. Kids menu options were very limited and the Mickey pancakes, while cute, were very plain. They didn’t have any fruit toppings or whipped cream or even powdered sugar to make it fun like we’ve had at other breakfast places in and around SW. Overall, food was good and location is convenient with plenty of parking, so I would definitely come back again.

this is our first time to Connecticut. Emerald eatery is definitely a little gem. Our server MARY was great, the food was delicious, and especially the pistachio muffin.

This has always been a go-to place for breakfast for me. However their online hours say they are open until 1PM on Sundays, we get there at 1245 and we were told they were closed to the puclic as of 15min prior. How can you close at 1230 and advertise that you are open until 1PM? Very dissapointed, next time change your official hours and lock the door for incoming visitors!

First time eating here. My grandson and I were going to see Santa at the old one room school house, and we were very early, so we decided to go get breakfast. Emeralds is right up the road, so we figured that's where we would go. Place was a little bit busy, nothing crazy, 5 or 6 girls on the floor. The entry sign said seat yourself, so we did. Someone came within a minute to clean the table and put down placemats and napkins, and leave us menus. Ordered basic breakfast, scrambled eggs, toast, home fries, and bacon for my grandson and eggs over very light, toast, home fries, and sausage for me. Breakfast came within 15 minutes, but we had to wait to eat to flag someone down for silverware. My grandsons breakfast was perfect. Mine, you could have propped up furniture with my eggs, sent it back, and told them never mind bringing a new one as we didn't have time to wait and by just replacing the eggs, everything else would be cold and that would not be enjoyable. Waitress came back about 3 minutes later with the same plate with fresh eggs on it and half my cold toast and luke-warm fries and sausage. I told her thanks, but no thanks. I'm truly disappointed on my first visit because everyone always raves about this place, so I had good expectations. My grandson said his was good. We might give it a second chance.

Good food and very friendly service. I had the daily special omelette with turkey bacon, feta cheese and spinach. It was good but the turkey bacon was a bit hard and chewy. The potatoes looked weird but they were tasty. Loved the apple fritter, very yummy. My friend had the Spanish omelette and a side of a pancake. He said the omelette was good but the pancake was not that great. My other friend had the Monte Cristo sandwich and loved it.Overall a good breakfast place but nothing too special.
