Funny that my review is erased. Beware it was the worst meal we have ever had. They were out if chicken satay, dumpling soup, sticky rice, there was no cilantro in any if the dishes we ordered and it was so cold we had to leave our jackets on. We would like to save everyone the misfortune of believing any of the good reviews like we initially did.

DO NOT GO HERE! We ordered two beef pho, a couple apps, papaya salad and sticky rice for take out. They said it was gonna be 25 min but I ended up waiting another 15 when i got there a half hour after I ordered. While waiting I noticed that the place is dirty--dust and cobwebs. There was only one other table filled in the restaurant so I don't understand why my food took so long. The SERVICE WAS TERRIBLE because they didn't tell me that they didn't have papaya salad or sticky rice til i got there. HOW DO THEY NOT HAVE RICE? The bartender kept saying was not going to charge me for the papaya salad. NO SHIT you're not gonna charge me for food i don't get. Why was she saying that like it was a good thing? Thats what i wanted the most. On top of all this.....we did not feel good after we ate the food. I like spicy food and have never had a reaction like this. DO NOT GO HERE!

Went to Thai Hut with my girlfriend on Saturday...after looking on Yelp it seemed to have decent reviews AND ginger ice cream on the menu, which I absoloutely love. When we got there, two tables were already seated. A couple minutes went by, and the waitress appeared from the back and seated us. Both our faces lit up as we saw the cocktail menu under the glass table! However, our dreams were crushed when they said there was no bartender that night (Strike 1) I was also informed they were out of half and half for the thai iced tea (Strike 2)....A gingerale it is!! After waiting 15 minutes and having to ask the waitress for our drinks again, she literally waived me off while walking away and said "You'll have to wait I'm the only one here" (Steeeeeriiiike 3) We finally got our flat gingerales with bendy straws and no paper cover on the tip...yummm. We put in our order, two appetizers (money bags, and fried spare ribs), pad thai and lard nah. After waiting another 20 minutes, the waitress comes to our table empty handed "Oh, we're out of money bags" (not sure what comes after strike 3...but you get the point). Trying not to get heated as them being out of stuff was becoming a trend, I curtly said "we'll have the spring rolls." We were both very frustrated by this time, but we agreed to make the best of it. There were 3 more tables filled by now and one of the tables actually went to the liquor store to buy beer and pass around the table! HA! A guy finally came out of the kitchen to help the flustered waitress. We eventually got our appetizers; the spring rolls were standard and the fried spare ribs were OK taste wise, but extremely tough and EXTREMELY fatty. Not 1 minute goes by when our entrees come out! I thought it was lovely how they made us wait forever and then gave us no time to eat our appetizers so our other food would get cold...that was just fantastic! My pad thai was good, but the lard nah had WAY too much sauce, so much that it was about to overlow the plate...and the sauce was very bland and flavorless. I practically had to shove the empty app plates and dishes in the waitress's empty hands since she clearly planned on leaving without taking them. After a lackluster first 2 courses, I was ready for my conquest; the ginger ice cream!! The waitress came over and I said we wanted dessert. She let out a HUGE sigh and was like "Sure...you want mango and sticky rice?" After them being out 3 previous items, I wasn't surprised at all when they were out of my ginger ice cream as well. I left a $3 tip on a $40 bill, which I NEVER do. No wonder I've never heard of this place before. Not really a good meal when the highlight of the evening is that I didn't get food poisoning. Mark my words; you will never see me in this HUT again.

This place is bizarre.

For some reason I keep returning here (for take out only, as there is NEVER any one here and I am pretty certain they keep losing their liquor license, which makes me question if they are up to code in the health department, and the staff is always watching soap operas) as there is no Thai food in the Cheshire/Southington area. On one occassion I called for take out- at 1PM- and was told they were not serving food yet as the chef wasn't in yet due to car troubles! Again, lacking food choices in the area, I gave them another go. This most recent take out go was abominable. I do make variations on my green curry (nothing difficult, NO basil, NO bell pepper). What I got today was LOADS of basil and bell pepper and what appeared to be an entire onion (which is not in the menu description for this dish) and NO bamboo (which IS in the menu description, and I love). On top of that, the spice level was so high, that even after spending a considerable amount of time picking through the meal to get to what I almost ordered, it was inedible. Waste of time, and money, do NOT bother going here!!!

We went to lunch a few weeks back... And I'm surprised there are so many negative reviews on the service. The waitress we had got our orders correct and was pleasant and attentive. There were 3 or 4 others having lunch and several take-out orders left while we ate. He had the drunken noodles and I had the yellow curry. Soup came with the lunch. Portions are huge, pricing seemed very fair, everything we ate we enjoyed. Decor leaves a lot to be desired. Bathroom... Kinda sketchy, definitely not cleaned daily (and thus, earning Thai Hut a 2 star rating)

In spite of my comment to the contrary (see prior review), we decided to give this restaurant a second chance. This time we went for lunch using a SaveNowCt coupon. We decided to share an order of dumplings not realizing we would each would be receiving a cup of soup and an egg roll. The dumplings may be ordered steamed or fried with us choosing the latter. I was expecting pan fried, but these were deep fried, but grease free. The soup, egg rolls and dumplings were okay, not great. For entrees both my wife and I chose the chicken in red curry and opted for the brown rice. I was surprised by the quantity of food, both chicken and fresh vegetables, we received. The curry was a little thinner than I would prefer, but the overall taste was very good. The brown rice was darker than we have received in other restaurants, but was also very good. Service was very good and our server was very friendly. The leftovers, eaten later that night, were even better than at lunch.

After a drawn out decision on where to eat on a double date we ended up at Thai Hut. My boyfriend and I are vegetarian and figured this would be a great option. When we entered there were only two other couples in the restaurant. We were seated right away and given waters and the oppurtunity to order drinks. We tried ordering two different beers that they were out of and settled on another. He returned not too long after and I ordered an appetizer of steamed edamame dumplings. Quite some time after ordering, the waiter came out with a plate of steamed edamame. I corrected the order and he left the edamame at the table for us to munch on. While they were delicious, it was not what I ordered. As soon as the dumplings came out I took a big bite and discovered they were cold and filled with pork. On the menu they were described as "steamed dumplings with baby soyeans". Nowhere did it state that they were filled with pork. I had to ask another server for help because mine had dissappeared. When I explained to her about the mix up, she responded with "I'm sorry, I don't even know what that word (edamame) is that you're saying." So after that we nixed the appetizer. It took forever to order our entrees, the server was nowhere to be found. Another server actually came to our table and asked if we needed to order. She soon sent our server over. My boyfriend and I ordered two entrees to share so we could try to take in as much as possible. We ordered the Massamun with tofu and brown rice and the Drunken Noodle with veggies. About 15 minutes passed by and my meal was the first to be brought out. I inspected it thoroughly and saw what I believed to be chicken. I poked at it with my chopstick and confirmed that it was in fact chicken. Another server came out and asked me if I had eaten any of it and took it in the kitchen. She walked right back out and brought my dish to another table. I was extremly appalled by this. Not long after this, our food was brought out. Surprisingly, everything was correct. It is really a shame that the service was so terrible because the food was amazing. It wasn't too spicy an it was seasoned nicely. It didn't make up for the horrible servie though. I would never in my life recommend anyone to eat here. This was by far the worst restaurant experience of my life.
