As long as the ingredients are fresh you really can't go bad with sushi and it was all fresh and delicious here. And I love that it looked family owned and operated, I like the more relaxed places like this, it makes it more comfortable. I'll definitely be back here again and again ♡♡

Decided to try this place out as an ALL YOU CAN EAT sushi option. In the Southington area, there aren't a ton of all you eat Sushi choices. I was recommended this place by a local as that solution and decided to try it out. This place, from what I'm told, is a popular takeout option, and I know it's big on DoorDash based on the reviews. Dining in at this establishment, though, I'm sad to say, not so much. And I really wanted it to be. Trust me. I was super excited to try this place out. Positives The food is pretty good. The sushi rice wasn't the freshest (or maybe a bit overcooked), but the sushi tasted good. For the price, you can look past it and stuff your belly to your hearts content. The stir fry rice was delicious, and any other side that we got was good as well. The lady who helped us was quite attentive and very nice. She kept coming back with a new menu to check off our next round of food. Not-so Positives I got the green tea ice cream from the menu. The ice cream was frost bitten. It was unfortunately the last thing I remember as it was the last thing I ate before leaving. It's unfortunate. The inside is not in the best condition, and the seating area is poorly lit. Due to there only being a few people dining in, they keep the other half of the dining area lights off. Makes sense. No problem. However, there was a child running around and constantly in/out of the bathrooms. The reaction the woman had to the child was funny, but ultimately, it was essentially the ambiance of the restaurant. When you go to a restaurant, you don't want to hear what I presume to be the owners' kids running around most of the time. This place is probably GREAT for a takeout option on a food delivery app. In fact, I know it would be because the food overall was good, and I would take out if I'm in the area. However, I didn't feel it was a place to enjoy a meal with a family or loved one.

This place had the best miso soup I've ever had in the whole world. It's crazy how when I went here barely anyone was there. Best rice, best steak, best sushi. Just wow!

This place is the sleeper hit. The food is delicious. Seems like a family runs it. Such nice folks. Do not miss trying this place. Maybe not the all you can eat part, but just normal lunch and dinner.

Had really good time eating here, the service was so good and the waitress was very attentive, I was surprised it was so empty. We got all you can eat and it came out in a timely manner. Would definitely recommend.
My family and I have been coming here for a very long time. The food is always so delicious and so fresh and at a very good price. The staff are always so nice and it is truly such a comforting and delicious place. I could not recommend Tokyo Japanese Sushi enough.
