Some ambient soft music would be nice. Very pleasant and attentive staff. Beautiful decor, creative and delicious dishes. Thoughtful complimentary chocolate cake loaf for our special birthday occasion.

I enjoyed two dinners at the Artisan. The food was delicious, and the staff was attentive. It is also very expensive. (I did have a yummy lobster dish.) And though I was dining alone, my server kept pushing me to order appetizers and dessert, which would be too much food. I had to decline multiple times.

We went there today after about 2 years. It has always been a great restaurant. They have improved the decor and the ambiance even more. The service was outstanding. From maitre d' to the waiter, everyone was extremely courteous, knowledgeable and attentive.Highly recommended, if you live in the Westport area.

GIVE THIS MAN A RAISE. DOUG YOU ARE AMAZING. Not only did this man recommend the most amazing main course, and desert, he gave us the upmost attention. Not only did I feel like I was with a friend, but helped and satisfied! Thank you for having such amazing waiters!! Cannot wait to come back!!!

Excellent ambiance with most courteous people working in all facets of this restaurant. The food is delicious. The service is perfect! And as old dear friends who meet on a monthly basis we absolutely appreciate that there is never a rush. It's been several years of wonderful dining, comfortable surroundings, courteous staff and manager!

My wife and I shared mushroom soup and then she had Branzino while I had veal filet mignon. Everything was cooked to perfection and was excellent. We shared a chocolate and hazelnut torte which was ok, but we would have preferred to have an option to choose a fruit-based dessert such as a Tarte Tatin, but none were offered. Our server, Brandon, was the absolute best and he was backed up by a team who were very attentive and helpful. Overall, the experience was first rate. We go to this restaurant 2 or 3 times a year and every time we have a great experience.

Pumpkin Ravioli was just ok... sauce could have been more flavorful. All desserts contained cream. Should have at least one non dairy. The chocolate pound cake we were given to take home was stale

The restaurant was cozy but empty, and yet we were seated on the brick "patio" (in February) which was also empty and hot from the head down due to the heaters overhead, and yet cold from the feet up. Myself and my niece were there to have a private conversation, so I did not ask to be moved inside, but soon a table of 8 women was seated directly next to us. So we lost the quiet and privacy in order to have our conversation and had to endure the cold/hot. The seafood chowder was incredible, but the $26 crab cake was bad. Thin and tasteless and on a bed of something like hummus but red and also tasteless.

We had a very good dinner this last time we ate at Artisan. It was unfortunate that the hostess sat us at a table right by the kitchen entrance, despite us having a reservation at 5:30 and essentially none of the other (better) tables being occupied the entire time we ate. When we arrived she first tried seating us in the bar / louder side despite our reservation being for the standard / quiet side and both of us dressed up clearly looking for a quiet meal. I could be mistaken, but given that when I booked Bar seating was unavailable while Standard was, I don't think I am. Food was good, waitstaff was very nice, but the hostess needs to be friendier. Recommend if you visit that you insist upon a table that you like when seated, because in our experience (having dined there half a dozen times) the strategy often seems to be to offer the worst table you'll accept, even with a reservation. Hopeful we have a better experience next time because we will be back. It's a great spot and we live nearby.

I made a reservation and was seated in the market place/tavern section instead of the main restaurant which was a disappointment. Our server was also very awkward and service timing was very off.

Let's start with the drinks. We ordered two Manhattans. One was full and one was not. Someone had obviously spilled nearly half of the second one but they brought it to our table anyway. The Hanger Steak and Fries were bad. The steak was very tough and grizzly. I had to spit out my first bite. I did not even finish one piece. All of the fries were oily and soggy and not edible at all. It was obvious I didn't eat anything on my plate and mentioned it to the waitstaff when they cleared our table. But, nobody seemed to care. We left feeling invisible and not appreciated. I sent an email to the Restaurant that same night and never received a reply.

Food was great, however we were not offered the option to dine in the formal dining room despite the couple before us being offered. Service was smothering as the waiter hovered and although didn't interrupt our conversation his presence was such we stopped several times to see why he was waiting. Super nice guy but meal felt rushed and interrupted. Food was fantastic as always.

Great food and excellent service. Choice of seating between the bar and the restaurant gives you flexibility and the option to be a bit more casual (at the bar).

Always love eating here. But make you compare the menu to the dish itself. The seafood chopped salad boasts avocado but it was missing today. Only occurred to me to check the menu on the drive home.
