I recently had the pleasure of dining at this exceptional restaurant, and I must say, the food totally blew me away. I’m sad that it’s so far from where I live.The eggplant, Vietnamese crispy roll, and hot oil dumplings were particularly impressive. The rolls boasted a perfect balance of crispy texture and flavorful pork filling, while the dumplings were generously stuffed and perfectly sized. The adjustment of the hot sauce to suit local tastes was executed skillfully, without compromising too much of the authentic flavors.The deep-fried eggplant retained its vibrant purple color and shape, with flavors and fragrance concentrated beautifully on the surface. However, the highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the Pho Tai. Served with tender beef cut exactly as it is in Hanoi, Vietnam, it showcased the chef's dedication to authenticity and quality ingredients.The Char Kway Teow demonstrated exceptional wok skills, with evenly distributed sauces coating the wide noodles, delivering an authentic flavor experience. It's evident that the chefs take great pride in their craft.Not only was the food outstanding, but the service was also impeccable. The staff were welcoming and attentive, ensuring a memorable dining experience from start to finish.

There are some options that can be made vegan on request. The staff is knowledgeable and courteous. Recommend the vegetarian laska without egg.The important thing to know is this place is saucy and you might need to request a fork. In my case I prefer chop sticks.The bottomline is people who like this spot will find it of premium quality.Vegetarian options: There are only a couple vegan options. Mama Chow is one of our most favorite places to go eat in the area. I absolutely love the kind people that work there, the service is top notch. The place itself is small, and right off the main road, so easy to get to. But the star is of course the food! We have tried spicy garlic cucumbers, KFC Bao, Crispy Vietnamese Rolls (!!!), Hot oil dumplings, and my favorite dish there - Laksa - chicken, roasted pork, bean sprout, shoyu egg, tofu puff, crispy bean curd in a coconut curry based broth! Mouth watering just writing about it. I can't wait to go back!

Let me start off with....Mama Chow is my favorite all time place to eat! Yesterdays experience was very disappointing. I ordered take out, 2 Laska soups and hot oil dumplings. Hot oil dumplings are my go to. When I opened the container there was not hot oil but a dark soy based dipping sauce. It was good....but not what I ordered. Let's move on to the soup. So one soup have a side of the add in sauce and one did not....again....a little disappointing! So over looked that and said...not a problem the soup is still amazing. BUT the noodles were so overcooked that they were inedible. They literally turned into mush when added to the soup. I have never had an experience like this before and hoping it was just a bad kitchen day....I am not giving up on them yet but put a nasty taste in my mouth....$40 later and we were very disappointed, just not up to the standard that Mama Chow is known for.
The food is always amazing. Slowly working my way through the menu but everything I’ve had so far has been fantastic. Bonus: helpful and friendly staff every visit❤️

I always love coming here! The staff are kind, caring, and remember you when you're a returning customer. I CRAVE their edamame with roasted garlic, rosemary, and crispy basil. Their Pho is the best I've had anywhere in CT. It's one of my favorite places and so worth the 40 minutes from my house to get there.
