Great place. Great people. Great history. Great Defenders of the Constitution (which you wouldn't expect at a diner - ask them about it).

Late night visit(1am)- horrible. Maybe it’s the language barrier or lack of knowledge of the menu but the service was bad, as well as the food quality. Waiter told me they did not sell something at all, that I’m looking at on the menu. She just didn’t know what what it was. How??? Food came quick, but too quick if you know what I mean. It also took 25 mins to get the check after asking for it.

I am an East Coast diner girl through and through. When working back east I spent a couple of days in Stamford visiting friends. Had a morning to myself and found Curley's. The owner is adorable. She chatted with me while I ate my omelette. She told me the best diner stories and a little history about herself and her family. This is why I LOVE diners....it equals family. It is so easy to be nice and you get so MUCH nice back. Thank you. Curley's is the soul of Stamford.

Stopped in for dinner after a wonderful walk around the Mill River Park for the Prelude art exhibit. Not only the name, but the old school shiny sided diner car was the draw for Curley's. I mean, how can you go wrong with a name like Curley's, right? Inside - not so shiny. Apparently, the diner is no longer what it once was (see 1 star review from Ellen, whose father was the short order cook for 20+ years and Curley was around). Food was bad at best. This establishment is operated by dabblers. Slyly adding a tip to the check for a party of 2 without notice is dubious. When questioned, the server/manager/owner replied, "We always do that". Hmmm. I would avoid this diner, there are so many other good choices in the area. And, I feel terrible defacing Curley's name.

Servers are very nice but the service is slow and they kinda forget about you for awhile so don't come here if you are in a rush
The people there are always polite, very courteous, and professionally. Just good service and the food is really good.Vegetarian options: It's a restaurant they do anything you ask of them. Never had a problem there.Dietary restrictions: They will do what you ask, even if you have a problem about. They fit it, apologize and be prompt about it. I know because I experienced it. It's a good quality restuarant. Just go.????. You'll thank me.Parking: Lots of available parking.

Absolutely shocked by all the positive reviews. The place is falling apart, food quality was terrible, and just everywhere you look corners are cut. I found mold on the food in the display cases and in the bathroom the soap was watered down in a log cabin sugar free syrup bottle. Insane this place hasn't been shut down, the entire thing is a walk in health code violation.

It’s cheap and has a parking lot. The food was mediocre. To be fair, I live in Brooklyn where everything is good. I would give 3.5 stars if I could.
