This is my favorite pizza in Stamford. Crust is chewy and crispy and the toppings are fresh. Great pastas as well. When I started using Uber Eats I felt compelled to order from fancier places. And I did. And I spent more money. But the food wasn’t as consistently good, and now I have switched back and I am back to ordering the old fashioned way…. With a phone. I didn’t rate the atmosphere because we always have our food delivered

I came here for my father in laws birthday lunch and the food here really surpassed my expectations, every single dish was so delicious, very generous portions and the best was the homemade sauces and everything else. I could feel the freshness in all the ingredients and I was extremely satisfied as well with the waiter, who catered all of us with patience and kindness.My favorite dish was the chicken parmigiana, honestly I did not eat one this good in years!The bread basket offered at the beginning was also so fresh and baked to perfection.I would def come back to eat pizza and try more dishes when I am back in the area.Parking: You can easily park right outside the restaurant for free.Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly menu available.Wheelchair accessibility: Enough space to accommodate a wheelchair.
Apparently this is a Margherita pizza. Absolutely NOWHERE on doordash or uber eats does it specify that apparently fresh tomatoes don’t equal tomato sauce?? However, the napolitana pie with plum tomatoes has tomato sauce.. makes perfect sense. Not. I have eaten here before and thought the pizza was delicious, but after receiving the worst service of my life I’ve given up on this place. Whoever I spoke with told me that they’ll contact both delivery platforms to update their menu to display no sauce, but how does that help a frustrated customer that just dished out $40 on a wasted pie? I didn’t want cheesy bread with a tomato slice slapped on, I wanted PIZZA. Do yourself a favor and order from literally anywhere else. No wonder the dining room is always empty each time I’ve dined in. No way to run business. Every single margherita pizza I’ve ever eaten had fresh tomato sauce. Scammers!! John the Baker more like John the Bad Apple
Simply wonderful. Delicious food - we shared eggplant rollantini, calamari, pasta fagoili soup, clams with red sauce and broccoli rabe with sausage. Every dish was excellent !The service was very good. Prices are very reasonable- half price on bottles of wine on Thursday !Expresso sambuca and toasted almond cake completed the experience. Definitely worth a visit !

Such a hidden gem in Stamford. If you’re looking for a solid chicken parm wedge, John the Baker is your place. I never sat down till a few weeks ago and realized they had amazing pizza and appetizers. Pictured is the garlic pepperoni rolls and John’s Pizza. Everything was super fresh and of course the chicken parm sandwich was absolutely perfect. Not quite sure how they do it. The bread is pretty crusty, the chicken is thin and the sauce/cheese isn’t overpowering. Got to try this place if you haven’t yet.
