What a very nice decorated restaurant, I liked how their are separate areas of you prefer a more intimate atmosphere and the staff was very attentive. Service was great. Server Annmarie came over just the right amount of time to check if everything is ok. The calamari and crab appetizers were like nothing I've ever tasted. Much better than a traditional Italian restaurant would make. I ordered the sea bass and I enjoyed it. Others in my group had lamb and ribeye steak all were very happy with the portions and the quality. Deserts were also incredible. I recommend this restaurant. Met every expectation I guarantee you will agree when you go there.

We celebrated our son's birthday at The Royal Green last night. It was a fabulous experience. The ambience was beautiful! We loved that there was a packed restaurant buzz but that you could still hear your conversation at the table. The lighting was perfect! I am a fan of low lighting but being able to read the menu. Our service was exceptional! The manager was incredibly friendly and hospitable. Our server was personable, knowledgeable and professional. We started with the calamari, escargot and wooden bowl salad. All three were absolutely delicious. The calamari was truly the very best we have had and I am still dreaming of the escargot. Our mains were equally as tasty! Filet and NY cooked perfectly, Bolognese was a crowd favorite, Duck was crispy and yummy! I highly recommend The Royal Green. Go see for yourself, the pictures online don't do it justice! We can't wait to go back and experience the bar room and, fingers crossed, outdoor dining this summer!

We had a fantastic time there, very attentive team, nice ambience and really outstanding food, the pork rack with foie gras and truffle madeira sauce has become an instant favorite, OMG. Thank you for that and surely coming back more often.

Beautiful restaurant with delicious food and superb service. We had a table of 6 and everyone enjoyed their meal. Highlights were the lamb shank, filet mignon, and chilean seabass. Save room for dessert. We will be back!

Had dinner on Saturday night and liked the place very much. The service was amazing, quick, friendly and very professional. Our waiter was Prinkal, if you are lucky enough to have him, you going to have a great experience. The menu was impressive. We had escargot, lamb osso bucco and fruits le mer. All made for perfection. The dessert menu was very tempting, but we ended up having tiramisu that was not on the menu. We are planning to return soon.

Royal Green just gets better with every visit. Amazingly good, inventive food. Professional, attentive and friendly service. The diners were having a good time. It's a happy place. The new destination in Stamford.

An excellent addition to local dining. Elegant dining room-tables spaced so diners can actually have conversations. Our table enjoyed the duck, the steak and the Gorgonzola salad. We'll certainly be back.

Traditional, pretty interior. Food was generally good albeit the escargot was 'presented' in the shell but obviously cooked outside the shell and, for some reason, had 'breading' and stuffed back in the shell. Not good. Seated at a 2 top while larger tables were available. Other parties of two were seated at those tables when they arrived. Yes, we had reservations and we were on time. The table was so small we had to remove the flowers, put our bottle of wine on a ledge next to us and my husband's bottled water on the floor. It was so claustrophobic we packed the majority of our food to go. When we asked the manager, she rambled on for about ten minutes about why we were stuck with a smaller table. She should have gracefully apologized and left it at that. Stop talking and 'explaining. She did send over a dessert on the house but.... since we hadn't finished our dinner it didn't seem well thought out. We might go back in a few months after they have time to fix some of the issues

Disappointing- the best part of the restaurant was interior. The renovations that were done were very nice . The service- ours was not good - it was like we were invisible- from beginning to end. Food - started off - promising- my salad was good - my husband ‘s crab appetizer he liked - should have stopped there. The rest went downhill.

This is the second time that we have eaten at the Royal Green. We went with another couple and our table ordered two appetizers (escargot and baked clams), two salads both the bowl and Gorgonzola and two entrees (wild boar and orate fish). every item was nicely displayed and delicious. The most pleasant surprise was that the waiter was our favorite from the recently closed Madonia restaurant. He is fabulous. There is no doubt that we will continue to visit the Royal Green is the future. PS Did I forget to mention that the crispy bread served at the begining of the meal is so tasty.

Good food selection and dishes are well prepared, although not always meeting their descriptions. Noise and music levels were too loud to make it a truly enjoyable evening. Maybe will try again on a week night.

Nice environment, comfortable seating. Ordered the Gnocchi which (as usual) was quite filling and was just ok. I hear the Sea Bass was quite good. Have not tried the steak but will return as it is worth a 2nd look. The Oso buco looked amazing but I was not that hungry. Seating area seems to lack some zip, some flavor, some ambiance or something but otherwise ok. Its quite for conversation. The bar seating area looked like a nice area to hang out. It has a nice dark, swanky essence. Unless the steak is fantastic, I don't see going back often. Maybe for the bar...

Nicely appointed dining room but lacks coat check, thus coming in from the rain means draping wet coats on chairs. Service was abysmal, I waited 30 minutes for my cocktail to be served after reminding the waitress 4 times. Gorgonzola salad was very good but entrees were big disappointment. We had $40 sea bass which was very small portion, bland, dried out and cold, butternut squash ravioli was also lacking in flavor and a seafood spaghetti special that lacked the lobster. Hopefully the kinks will be worked out- I may try again in several months.

Service was excellent. Friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. Food was superb. Fried calamari was succulent and amazing taste. Ribeye was perfectly cooked. Portions were huge. Leftovers of everything made for a whole meal.

Was very excited to try the new Royal Green. Started out a bit rocky, we were paused in the hall while on our way to being seated without any explanation?? Host just walked behind the bar,, seemed confused. After being seated waited 15 minutes without ANY acknowledgement of our presence. Hostess finally came over and apologized profusely and comped us our cocktails which was very nice, all was forgiven. She crab soup, sea bass and pear desert all were phenomenal. My friend had the salad, which was awesome however the Tuna although it was cooked properly, it was not sushi grade, a lot of fat & grizzle, not butter tender as it should be, barely edible. We will try it again in the spring. Hopefully by then they will have all the kinks worked out. I really want them to succeed!!
