I was very unhappy with this bakery, I ordered a cake within one week before my event, showed them the picture of the cake, texted them that I had to pick it up early, and they said no problem. the day and time came, I got to the shop with no cake at all , they didn't have my cake. i was like what, not exponentiation no care at all very upset. they did not care. Very poor customer service. never going back to this place.

unfortunately Sal's bakery is under new ownership. $45.00 spent on sfoliattelle (which was a favorite from Sal's) and assorted cookies went directly into the garbage. The sfoliatelli were half baked and oozed lard. The cookies were stale. Such a disappointment! Don't waste your time or your money.Try Beldotti's on Newfield or DiMare off Hope Street.

If there was a way to leave less than 1 star, I would. You will never have a worse experience with a bakery. Do not place a custom order with Sal's. You have been warned.

The customer service is awful, they don't give refunds when your cakes aren't delivered. The owner was saying that he didn't care and that it wasn't his problem. He told us there was nothing to do and he couldn't do anything or even give us a refund.

If I could I'd leave 0 stars. My mom paid for 2 cakes for my quince and left a deposit for them. They only gave us 1 cake and we called to get the deposit back from the other cake since we never got it and they said they were going to call us back and we never received the call from them. We went inside the bakery the owner didn't want to give us the deposit back. Terrible person , terrible business don't ever ever come to this bakery.

We got a lobster tail and a Napoleon. The cream has no sweetness in it. Because pastry dough isn't sweet, pastries are supposed to get their sweetness from the filling. The pastries we got literally had no sweetness. At least they weren't stale. That's the only reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1.

Sal’s came through for my mom when she ordered a bday cake later than she wanted. Courteous on the phone, a beautiful design, and great flavor. Their icing is so good!
