We recently hired Susan to cater my husband's birthday party in Weston, CT. We live in Chicago, so it was a bit of a challenge finding someone who shared my vision and was willing to keep taking and giving suggestions until the menu was exactly what we wanted. Susan not only delivered on every promise, she went above and beyond to ensure that this day was fantastic for our entire extended family. The food was outstanding and presented so creatively. Her staff was equally helpful and gracious. Susan coordinated rental equipment, a customized birthday cake and even suggested a wonderful photographer for the day. We could not have asked for a better outcome. If you are looking for someone to wow your guests and make your party planning easy, look no further.

It was my misfortune to have engaged Susan Kane for a Commitment/wedding ceremony in July. She arrived very late. She knew my party was set to begin at 1 pm with a ceremony before 2 pm. The bar was not set up by the time ny guests arrived and no food was available until almost 1:30. I had chosen some pricy passed hor d'oeuvres like mini lobster rolls and wagu beef sliders. Most of my guests never received any of those and were surprised to learn they had been passed. There were maybe 30 to 35 guests. I had contracted for 50 people so there was no excuse to run out! My special day was perfect: the weather, the music and the flowers! But definitely not the food. The crepes were served cold and rubbery and I was shocked that for whipped cream; a can of ready Whip was put on the table! It was incredibly unprofessional! And Susan became hostile when I became critical of the many mistakes by her and her staff!

The day was almost perfect: the weather, gorgeous flowers and beautiful music! But I was so frustrated when Susan and her staff who showed up very late! Most unprofessional! My guests arrived at 1pm and had to wait almost a half hour for any food! Her bartender took ice cold beer from my fridge and left it out in the sun, even though they had brought ice. I had splurged on pricy hors d'oeuvres like mini lobster rolls and wagyu beef sliders. Even though I repeatedly asked, I didn't even get a slider! Thee were maybe 35 guests and I had contracted for 50 so there was absolutely no excuse to have run short! The crepes were a cold soggy mess. I had assumed they would be cooked to order and hot! They went mostly uneaten. And the fillings were bottled caramel sauce and a can of whipped cream! If you value great food and service then don't hire Susan Kane! This is the first negative review that I have ever posted! I was that disappointed with the service!

Our guests have been texting me for days, expressing how much they loved the food & staff. Susan and her entire staff are dedicated and take charge - I can honestly say that I truly enjoyed every minute - I almost felt like a guest - Susan is that good!!! Can't wait until our next event!!!

I have used a lot of catering companies in the Connecticut area. I have had great experiences ordering catered food over the phone and supporting local businesses, especially during COVID! I thought I'd call Susan Kane Catering to support a local business and order hors d'ourves for a small cocktail party. I called and a woman picked up the phone and she seemed perfectly nice. We started talking about what date I was looking for and how busy they are with the holiday season approaching. As soon as the woman asked me how many people I was catering for, all she said was "Oh, no thank you! We can't accommodate that" and I said "Ok goodbye." I was shocked how rude and impolite her response was to me. I am never going to use this catering company and I would never recommend it to anyone I know.

We recently hired Susan Kane for our second adult cocktail party and once again, she delivered a flawless menu of delicious appetizers and dinner while making it all look beautiful! She is easy to communicate and plan with and will cater every detail to match your vision! Her staff is highly professional and works efficiently on site to prepare, serve and clean up and they make it look easy. We had so much fun with our guests and did't have to worry about a thing! There's no batter way to enjoy your own event than to have experienced professionals take care of the details. We highly recommend Susan and her amazing staff!

We had a 65th Birthday party for my husband last week end. I was a little late in getting a caterer. Susan was very busy but she couldn't say no despite all her other commitments. She stopped by the house and suggested placements for the bar and tables. There were loads of yummy appetizers to pick from. Her staff was beyond professional and competent. Definitely use Susan and staff again
