I've been to The Americano, a new trendy eatery in downtown Stamford twice and thought it time to give this restaurant a review. Simply put, it's exceptional and thankfully, a big hit. The word of mouth has really helped since I frequently hear people talking about it. Our party of three dined on a Saturday night. Our server, I wish I knew his name, was polite, helpful, and efficient. When he brought the wrong drink (things happen) he quickly fixed the issue and was gracious throughout. We enjoyed the Burrata and Truffle Arancini as starters, and the Hangar Steak, Salmon, and Scallops with a side of truffle fries and a side of spinach. For dessert, the caramel bread pudding. For drinks, the raspberry thyme, margarita, and gimlet. Each and every item was exceptional! As a courtesy, the kind manager gave us free drink vouchers for a nightcap at the bar. The Americano is run incredibly well with a caring, knowledgeable staff and a cool hip ambiance with black, white, and red atmosphere. It's always crowded which is proof that the restaurant is being appreciated as one of the new Stamford hits of 2023 and beyond.

The aesthetic of the restaurant was so nice and so was everyone working there. I was pleasantly greeted by Julio and Daniela & sat at the bar.I enjoyed my cocktail, the Miss Americana which was very refreshing and my French Onion soup! The soup was DELICIOUS!

The food and service are a 5. Server was professional, kind knowledgeable and clearly caring and well trained. The food was outstanding. The mussels were among the largest I've ever had and the scallops perfectly cooked and fresh. Only issue is the noise. Deafening. Every surface in the restaurant is tile or mirror. Way TOO LOUD. Please install sound absorbing panels on the ceiling...so we can come back.

Would not recommend - l hate whenever the waiters bring the mobile payment processor to your table and they watch as you tip/pay. Should not happen at a nicer sit down restaurant, very tacky. Secondly, we got charged $8 for water - our waiter asked if we wanted sparkling or tap, we said tap, and he brought a spring water bottle. To avoid confusion, the waiter should ask “sparkling, bottled, or tap,” and not say that tap is bottled spring water. Lastly, the food failed to live up to expectations. The Shrimp in the bao buns were fishy, the Nashville hot chicken was not crispy, and the steak sandwich was too small.The fries were good and the manager did end up lifting the water charge, but the waiter created the problem in the first place and left us with a bad experience from a night out.

I decided to just enter while waking on Main Street, just I see what this place was all about on a Tuesday night: it really didn't disappoint! The service was great, and, twice the waitress came by to update me on my meal (considering I was about to have a 14 oz Berkshire pork chop, it's normal it was taken time). It was A LOT of food, but, it was delicious! I also iced the atmosphere: I was by myself and very comfortable. A group was also at the back of the restaurant having some sort of party and it didn't take anything awash from the ambiance.

The vibes here are immaculate, a go to for a late night vibe. The manager Julio is great and had the best customer service! The drinks and food are very delightful aswell!!

Wow!!! The service was amazing!!! Bartenders on another level!!!! Everything was just on POINT! Whether you want to have a romantic night out or have drinks with your girls, this is the place to be!!! I just had appetizers, but was more than enough! 10/10 Will def be back for the vibes!

We’ve been here twice now and both times had great food and service. The first time we went was the first week it opened so it was very busy but that’s expected on an opening week. We shared a charcuterie board which was wonderful. I had the lobster fettuccini and I thought it was the perfect size. My boyfriend had the shrimp tagliatelle and he enjoyed his meal as well.The second time we went, we sat at the bar. We were greeted by the manager Julio who was very friendly. The bartender, Isabella, was courteous and made the most amazing espresso martinis!! ? We only had apps this time; truffle fries and French onion soup and both were superb! The cheese on the soup was melted to perfection and just the right temperature. We were very satisfied with both visits and will definitely be returning for more ?

Beautiful decor, fun atmosphere and lively crowd. Portions are very small and price is very high. Pasta dishes were tasty but not for the price. Increase the portion size and decrease the price.

Went for Restaurant week and it was so good. The burger was perfection and the French onion soup had a good sweetness of the onions coming through. Our drinks were all good and our waitress was super efficient and got the kiddy meals in quickly while we enjoyed our drinks. Very nice Sunday vibe!

As I write this review it saddens me as I had such high hopes and expectations for this place. Food 3/10, service -10000/10, atmosphere 10/10. Great place to go to bar and have a drink but that is it. Had a reservation for 8:30 didn’t get seated until 9:45. Then stupidly came back was seated on time but waiter didn’t come over to take order or even pour water for 45 minutes. Horrible service and mediocre food.

I was visiting a relative in Stamford and he and I stumbled upon this restaurant. We went in without a reservation and asked if it was possible to get a table. The restaurant was empty enough that they were able to seat us. We ordered cocktails & the order came out incorrectly. By the time we got our food it was 30 minutes after we were seated. When we had been at the table about an hour the manager came over and told us that someone with a reservation had our table and we could either move to the bar or they would be happy to pack up our dinners to take with. This is not conducive to a pleasant visit over dinner.
