I happened a pond this place during a break from work. And was NOT disappointed.I love the variety of fresh ingredients to choose from. To mix into whatever it is you order, from from tacos to salad bowls.I recommend the chicken and the Shredded beef.Only thing messing with some cocktails, but I had to get back to work

This resturant closes earlier than advertised on website. Even when told closes at 8, I arrived at resturant at 7:40PM and door was locked. Very inconvenient!!!!

Food can be bland but Mexican food usually dont have seasonings and rely on fresh ingredients. Nothing too crazy in flavor and can be better than Taco bell sometimes. But the service could use some work, especially paying attention, both Spanish and English. I've gotten wrong orders all the time so its a gamble at this

I get it that inflation is a thing right now, but these up charges are ridiculous. Charging a dollar for sour cream…charging more for the tortilla and every side…bukaboos is the way to go now.

This is my first time at Tomatillo Taco Joint, and I’m immediately a fan. The food is incredibly delicious, and the service was great! My father and I both got salad bowls. The tomatillo vinaigrette is fresh and flavorful — SO much better than the watered down salsa verde you might find at Chipotle or Qdoba. They even have actual poblano in their fajita veggies, such a delightful surprise. I’m so impressed and shocked that this place isn’t more popular or well-reviewed. These small details made for such a more nuanced and well rounded taste. The employee who helped us kindly explained the differences between their salsas and made sure to give us extra dressing on the side when I wasn’t sure if we had gotten enough on our salads. The shrimp was made to order and tasted fresh. It wasn’t your everyday cheap shrimp. The chicken was juicy and delicious. The interior was clean and had a lot of space to casually eat-in, though a little dim. I really hope this small business (local franchise) where everything is cooked fresh on-site, no microwaves, can continue to thrive in Stamford. With a place like this (massive portions, authentic ingredients/taste, freshness, warm employees, amazing prices), I won’t even think about going to Chipotle, which I have historically loved lol. Our bowls were only $11 and $12!Everyone come here for a quick, authentic, affordable Mexican bite! We have to work together to keep places like this in business. ????

THE AMERICAN DREAM AND THE THINGS IT MAKES YOU DO! Well today was fun, this encounter belongs in a comedy show. Today I go and order two burritos, I see that this lady looks Spanish speaking so I tell my mom to order as my mom is only Spanish speaking. She looks at my mom with the most clueless eyes, so cute could almost make you believe she isn’t Spanish speaking. Like we say in my country we can see it in your face sweetheart. Anyways no biggie! I translate we sit down, she must’ve forgotten to wait for us to leave to break character. Low and behold like magic she speaks Spanish, last time we had the same issues where the staff pretends to not know how to speak Spanish.

They should stop lying about being open until 9pm bc this is the third time we attempt to stop by not even at 8:00pm and they are closed. Very disappointing

My girlfriend and I needed a quick bite before a movie. What a treat! I met Cesar who treated us like family. The food was delicious. Fast, fresh ingredients, and amazing service. We even had margaritas with our dinner before going to a movie. Highly recommend this local spot. Great food and atmosphere!

This place is like Chipotle but somehow even worse, the service was good but my food was all cold and flavorless. The hot sauce tasted like just tap water with a tinge of habanero. The biggest crime of all being they only have me a single rotting lime slice for my girlfriends 3 tacos. In conclusion if you don't know what hispanic food is good then you might enjoy this
