Unlike Elsa, the cold always bothered me anyway. My dermatologist even told me to take cold showers for better health, skin and hair. Warm-weather destinations, hot showers, and hot chocolate are my vices and guilty pleasures, and I'm keeping all these habits in 2024. I don't need to jettison this stuff. I wasn't expecting the hot chocolate to be better than the donuts at Deviant Donuts, which are not bad but they are simply not special. Guzzling hot chocolate from Deviant Donuts on a cold and rainy weekend, I got a pleasant surprise: their hot chocolate, customized with whipped cream, was chocolatey, wonderful creaminess without bitterness, and the right hint of sweetness. Deviant Donuts' donuts disappoint. Mimosa Donut- Gluten Sensitive Orange Cake Donut topped with champagne glaze, orange chip and pearl sprinkle- was chewy and a very sweet artificial orange flavor but the champagne glaze was perfectly sweet and delicious, and I wanted more champagne glaze! The champagne glaze reminded me of Sugarfina Sparkling Rosé Bears, candies I love. (My No. 1 fave candy is Sugarfina's Peach Bellini!) Double Chocolate Donut - Chocolate Cake Donut glazed with vanilla and dipped in ganache, good but more cocoa taste than chocolate, and dense.

The staff (specifically the girl with glasses and purple hair) continued to yell at customers to keep the door shut. I can understand that the door should be kept shut when it is 20degs outside, but don't yell at customers that open the door to simply walk in and get a place in line. Multiple customers felt harassed by this. The drinks; however, we're made professionally, and very tasty in a timely manner. This is a combination of good product with a few lousy employees.

We got the boston cream and black/white cookie. The donuts didn't knock our socks off. They didn't have much

Lots of hype. best donut option is the vanilla glazed.

Heard this was a Mystic staple so I had to try it out. I ordered the donuts ahead of time through their website because I wanted to ensure they didn't sell out. They are open until 5PM or until all of the donuts are gone. The week I went was the classics menu. I got the maple bar, Samoa, Apple fritter, honey glazed cruller, chocolate cream, and double chocolate. The Samoa was by far my favorite and it is on their staples portion of the menu (they rotate flavors weekly), so you could get this any week. Highly suggest.

I think Deviant Donuts is fine. I wouldn't go out of my way, but if I'm in the village I'd grab one to snack on. I personally think they're too sweet, so is the coffee which is made from concentrate (cold brew). Very small inside but has a lovely deck to enjoy in good weather. On the expense side, but it is a tourist area so it makes sense. I always see people post absolutely beautiful themed donuts from here, but everytime I go it's always just normal looking donuts. I don't go late, and I check the menu ahead of time in their website so I have no idea how I always miss themed ones.
