Horrible experience. Soft serve dipped was ruined the first time, during the second attempt the server did not even dip the cone he drizzled a small amount over the top. The milk shake had to be remade twice because it was genuinely milk with a scoop of ice cream… both times equally thin and milky. When asked for a banana split, server said all the bananas are “bad” so instead a sundae was ordered. The sundae was given with only whipped cream and a cherry. Server did not ask for toppings of any sort. Very disappointing. The place smelt bad and the tables were wiggling. The floors were extremely dirty. The service was poor and took a lengthy time. Server was alone, maybe was 17 years old and was obviously stressed.

A 50's throwback ice cream parlor. We have been going for a few years and the last time we went I was very disappointed. I ordered the chocolate peanut butter cup and there was no pb to be found I tried to dig around to search for it but had lots of trouble cause the spoon they give u is so cheap it kept bending with the hard ice cream. The floor was so dirty our shoes kept sticking to it. The three girls behind the counter were not very personable and extremely slow. Not sure what happened but it's definitely not the same. Threw most of my ice cream away and left to go somewhere else.

This place used to be great. The last time I tried to go in it reeked of sewage and the floor was super sticky and covered in trash. There were multiple staff members working and only a couple of them were attending to customers. The place was so filthy I left without ordering anything.

We were craving ice cream so I went on Yelp! Everything was a million miles away except Mel's Creamery. So after reading the reviews I was confused. So completely different. But it was the only option close to us so we took the risk. SO GLAD WE DID!Unlike other reviewers I found the place to be super clean and so 50's it was so fun!!The young lady waiting on us was nice though a little shy. I ordered a banana split and my friend a strawberry sundae, ( we like the classics). She started making mine, or what I thought was mine and asked if I wanted hot fudge and of course I said yes! Then as I was watching her I realized it was my friends sundae, my friend can't eat chocolate. So I stopped her. So got confused. So to save her embarrassment I just said to make two Strawberry sundaes one with chocolate fudge and one without. No big deal. We thanked her and left to eat them in the car. BOY DID I NOT MISS THE BANANA SPLIT!! Both our sundaes were FANTASTIC!! Every bite we said "yum!" Out loud!Highly recommend! We're just going to order one at a time in the future.
It's a little pricey but to be expected for it's location floor has been sticky and ripping off my flip flops for as long as I can remember

How in the world this place is right at four stars is mind-boggling! First sign should've been the extremely hot ice cream parlor. How is that even possible? Soft serve was mushy and incredibly bland. The kids had other ice cream and didn't like it either. For a little child not to like their ice cream, that speaks volumes. So many better ice cream places out there!

Going to Mel's is one of my favorite things to do when I vacation in the area. The shop is so cute, the staff is super friendly, and the treats are to die for! I really recommend the Chocolate Lover's Dream. Everything is good though. They never miss here.Thanks for another fun summer memory. Looking forward to next year.
