A while back, on their website, they advertise that they are looking for managers.....I have 18 years restaurant management experience involving any and all things related to that position. I have worked in various food/restaurant industries to perfect my craft of almost 20 years, and have build a solid reputation. I fill out the initial application, I get my cover letter ready, I get my references ready, I get my resume ready. I go to the Starbucks in Mystic where I live. The manager is on the floor scrubbing it. I explained to her who I am, and the first question out of her mouth is, "do you have barista experience"? I said no I do not why? She then proceeds to tell me "well, you need to have barista experience to become a manager here" I explained to her "Well, that's not what your website says, it doesnt say you need to have barista experience in order to be a manager, thats false advertising". She just shrugs her shoulders and says "that's how we are, you have to be a barista for 1 year or 2 to even be considered to be a manager at any starbucks". Wow. Ide imagine a billion dollar compay like starbucks would jump at the chance to hire someone with my experiece, and train "as you go" like any normal company would, and not falsley advertise a hiring position and get peoples hopes up. No wonder I see so many videos and such online about "needing to unionize" at starbucks. You guys missed a very lucrative opportunity turning ME away.

It was my first time getting to know the town. and me and my husband went to have coffee in THAT place, but, how unpleasant, the girl at the register was super slow, and the guy who delivers lsd orders (one with yellow hair, painted,) he is super arrogant and rude I don't know how they have that guy holding onto the client.

We stopped in this Starbucks on our daily Starbucks trip traveling through New England 3-3-24. It is beautiful outside and inside. Unfortunately, our experience with the staff wasn’t as pleasant. They were rude and impatient. Coffee was average.

Staff was rude. Not the first time. Writing a bad review because this is now the norm for the Mystic location. Used to be the best and super friendly now no one even looks up or acknowledges you when you go in for a pick up. The staff needs to be re trained in customer service. Sad and only go because of the convenience of the location. Will for sure drive out of my way to go to the Groton location for better drinks and friendly staff.

Everyone here is so nice! Glad they're open again. The store closed for a few days because of heating issues in the building, so I don't really think the 1 star review below is fair. They had signs all over the building explaining why they weren't open during their regular hours, and their hours were updated on Google Maps and the Starbucks mobile app. Not sure what else they would expect them to do, beyond magically not have heating problems in below-freezing weather?
Poorly run Starbucks. Did not open at the stated hours. 920am on a Saturday and they are not open

Nice place. But it was cold inside. All the customers kept their coats on. I felt bad for the baristas. But the baristas treated us well and we're able to make everything with our order perfect.

I frequent this Starbucks weekly as I work in the area and cannot say enough good things about how fast they are and how well they handle such high volume. I've been to a lot of Starbucks and never have I been to one as busy as this one. Bravo! Keep doing what you are doing! A+++Parking: Plenty of parking
