Great Stratford landmark. Wonderful food as always. The Bunnell Burger was fantastic.

A great landmark burger and dog spot! The original burger works includes lettuce, tomato, onion, green pepper, salt and pepper on a fresh bun (reminds me of French Bakery buns!) and is satisfying. They also make real milk shakes with ice cream (no chemical shakes here)! Picnic tables to eat at outside or eat in your car (aka drive-in).

This local business impressed me today my family loved it we had a few hot dogs and the lobster roll with fries was amazingPeople spend $10 for a meal at McDonald's but then they complain the food is expensive here this is definitely worth the price for the great quality of food/taste ??.

It is true about them closing whenever they want. Got there at 7:33pm 6/8/22 and they said grill closes at 7:30pm. Highlighted that they close at 8pm. Employee replied: "Sorry grill closes at 7:30pm." My son was pretty bummed. Going to Danny's is the highlight of his summer when he returns from college. He has long loved this place as has his Dad. Its all good though. Had a great dinner at Modern Apizza in New Haven same night. Modern Apizza is still amazing. Reading all these reviews about Danny's going down hill is a bummer. Have been going to Danny's for almost 30 years. It is sad. I hope Danny's can improve and keep the Danny's tradition going.

Haven't been here in a couple years. Assuming new management. Waited 20 minutes for a burger. No organization. Fries cold, single burger when paid for double cheeseburger. Asked what I wanted to order after waiting for 15 minutes. Finally order came, asked if I wanted frequent customer card. So tone deaf, will never be back. Sorry to see such a landmark managed so terribly. Stay away.

I tried the Long Dog and opted for fresh cut onions ONLY. No sauces. Man ,was I blown away, the bun was toasted to perfection, the dog was cooked just right. Its the hot dog I want at the next cookout! and a huge plus, I looked through the side window and the kitchen looked super clean and organized. Its a must for me the next time Im driving that way since its right off the exit 33 and I can hop back onto the highway.

They just close whatever time they want. I call in an order at 7:30, no one picks up. I figure oh they're just busy and drive over , takes 7 mins, I get there at 7:37 and they've locked their door. When this happens more than once you lose your customer. This has happened more than once. If your hours say your open until 8, don't let people waste their expensive pandemic 5$ gallon gas to a locked door

Stale bread, undercooked fries, frozen not fresh onion rings, frings had 4 onion rings (not enough for the price)... This was my second order and for the prices they charge, they really need to do a lot better. Pet peeve - one size (small) beverages at $2+ . Have to do A LOT better.

I was a long time customer until today. I went by, excited for my usually burgers from my favorite burger place. And then I got my food home. I was missing a fry and our burgers were red in side. So I called them and they asked me to come back so I did and they recooked my items and put in the fry I’d been missing. Got home; and the burgers were even more raw than before. I’ve eaten at Danny’s forever. But after spending $33, for food I couldn’t eat; I won’t return. Especially after I gave them the chance to fix it and they just made it worse.

Tried this place out since I saw them on the news, man they drop the ball my wife ordered a "patty melt" they forgot the cheese we also ordered mozzarella sticks and I bit into one and there was no cheese in the middle it was just breading I never seen that in my life ?, we also ordered our burger medium well and there was so much pink inside i wish I can post pictures the whole experience was terrible 33 bucks and we had to throw out our food and get some food from somewhere else ?

Sadly not what ot used to be. Waited a very long time for food which would have been ok if it was as good as it used to be. Smaller portions, bad patty melt...untoasted bread twice the size of the burger. I don't know that I'll be back. Only 2 people working on a Sunday at lunch too.

This is NOT the same Danny's. The burger that came in my order was raw. In the 20 plus years I've been ordering food from Danny's never, ever was I served raw hamburger meat. I spent $20 to simply throw my food in the trash because of how undercooked everything was.
