Chic and Pristine!! Just moved to Stratford and this little cafe is right down the street from my house! The empanadas are delicious and the coffee is yummy! Everything else? I’m simply excited to try. You can come sit with your laptop, it’s usually quiet and that’s a great thing! I know I’ll be coming here a lot.

Unfortunately we did not have a great experience here. We had called ahead of time to make sure that there was still a good variety of facturas, medialunas and other items. We were told there were. We got there 30 minutes later, and there was literally almost nothing left. We inquired how much for a dozen facturas and were told a certain price. Like I said there really wasn't a lot to choose from... only 3 medialunas, 3 miguelitos, etc. So anyways we ordered based on what was available. When we went to pay, at least half of the items had a surcharge for some reason. It was in poor taste to charge us extra when they were out of everything else! As an Argentinian family, no one in our family thought the food was that great, it was just okay, but did not taste that fresh. The biggest reason for this review, is that we were originally charged $100 over what we should have been. Luckily I happened to go inside, because otherwise my husband would not have realized he was overcharged by $100 and would have paid that egregious amount (and be ripped off). Yes the cashier fixed it when I questioned it, but she herself should have realized it. I don't know if it was intentional or not, but it left a really bad taste in my mouth.

I was really disappointed when I paid $60 for a tres leches cake and got the worst cake I’ve ever tasted. I don’t know if they did lemon, or if the milk is curdled but I did not get what I asked for and when I talk to them they do not care did not offer an apology and I will not be buying my cakes from here

I don't know what I expected but my expectations must have been far too high. Went to go out with a couple of friends to this place we had heard about only to be met with disappointment. I ordered a few macaroons in which they tasted soapy, cannoli filling was just disappointing (even the cannoli itself was damp and dry at the same time), and to top it off one of my friends oreo cupcakes tasted as if the oreos had been sitting out for days. If no one believes I should have ventured more options trust me I did by buying 38 dollars worth.

When we travel, I love finding small, indy coffee places, so I couldn't be happier to have stumbled onto Dulce de Leche this morning! A cute-as-can-be bake shop on a quiet corner in Stratford, they specialize in Argentine treats (both savory and sweet). I had gone just for coffee, which I was told was terrific (and it was!) I left with both a sandwiche de migas and a chicken empanada. WOWZA! The sandwiche de migas is simple but ethereally delicious (you should absolutely go get one right now) and the empanada was jam-packed with flavor and its pastry was flaky perfection. In short, this place is a GEM and folks here in the Nutmeg State are lucky to have Dulce de Leche in their backyard.

Can't recommend this place enough ... there's aren't enough authentic Argentinian places in ct and they partially fill this void. Great selection of traditional sweets , media Lunes, alfajores, and Dulce de leche cakes, empanadas. They also carry a good variety of yerba for the materos. Will be coming back ... gracias !

Huge selection of delicious pastries and love the coffee! The standard iced coffee is better than most cold brews. Cute interior and lovely little outdoor patio. I look forward to going every time I'm in the area. Great addition to the neighborhood!
