You have never had a cupcake or a cake cup like this before. If you have her food as well you'll never leave. The shop is beautiful and the owner has the warmest heart ever. Highly recommend Edible Couture for any day purchase but especially special occasions.

I wanted to like this place. Newly opened in town, rivaling the other cupcake shops around. Black owned. Beautiful looking desserts. The woman taking our order was extremely pleasant, and so was the older woman as well. This place DESERVES to have a crowd and people trying their desserts. But, I've had better cupcakes. Coming from someone who graduated culinary school, there was a lot that was left to be desired. I sell cupcakes at events, and these cupcakes were a dollar more than what I sell mine for and they weren't even filled and they were crumbly and dry. It was just unfortunate.

I came across Edible Couture through their truck, from there I would visit them when they were near downtown New Haven. I found myself in Stratford the other day, and remembering that they were there, I decided to stop in to satisfy the sweet tooth. I ordered a red velvet cupcake with Oreo topping & a strawberry shortcake cup. Both were delicious. Although I love sweets, I eat them sparingly, so I was able to get two servings out of the cupcake as well as two servings out of the strawberry shortcake cup. They make custom birthday cakes and they have a large assortment of baked goods. I also ordered an oatmeal chocolate chip cookie, which I think was my favorite. It was incredibly soft and decadent, and I was also able to split it into two servings. I highly recommend checking them out if you need to satisfy the sweet tooth or if you're looking for a cake for a special occasion.

Let me preface my review by saying that I grew up with a grandma who was an awesome baker. When you are fortunate to be surrounded by wonderful, tasty treats, you can't help but to have high expectations for the baked goods you consume elsewhere. Edible Couture meets and exceeds my baking standards, having tasted their Oreo cupcake and their Red Velvet Oreo Cake Shake. The cupcake was extremely moist and chocolatey, and the frosting was perfectly balanced in sugar and vanilla. The shake--well, I couldn't put it down; it was one of the best shakes I've ever had. Given my experience today, I look forward to trying more treats and supporting this business. We need outstanding bakeries in the Stratford/Milford area, and Edible Couture certainly does not disappoint.

We used Edible Couture for our wedding cupcakes this past weekend and I can’t say enough good things about the experience. I spoke to Teesha who helped me create a custom order for the look I wanted. She was friendly, professional and helpful! The cupcakes were ready for pickup on time and absolutely delicious!! They were also huge! Our guests took them all home after and we got left with a few to save for our 1 year anniversary :) I highly recommend this small local business and will use them again in the future! Thank you guys again for helping to make our special day delicious!!
