“Stratford has cleaned up Short Beach to where it is somewhat enjoyable to visit. Sometimes they have music playing near the tiny concession stand and all-in-all it's improved in appearance. It has not undergone any type of renovation that Silver Sands in Milford has and therefore I'm giving Short Beach 3 1/2☆'s, whereas Silver Sands rates 4 1/2☆'s for constantly upgrading its beachfront.“
“I stopped late in the evening, actually surprised and grateful that the dining room was open. It was very busy with drive through and online orders.Matthew was an exemplary employee, the big man was soft spoken and precise, moving quickly but with purpose not panic. I have reviewed many places in my travels and I enjoy the chance to be positive and highlight someone that deserves it.“

“Ice cream is consistent over a number of locations I visit. My one comment is that the consistency of the Blizzards varies depending on which person does the mixing of the "topping" with the ice cream. Numerous times the mixing is not thorough and the bottom 1/2 of the cup is plain ice cream. Of course it's pricey. One can buy a 1/2 gallon" looking container of hard ice cream for the price of a small Blizzard. 4 stars is more than fair.“
“A bit removed from the maddening crowd, I originally came because it was near a cool Geocache. (Look up the geocache, it's not on the ground) The view is very pretty, but the driveway does come close to the drive through exit so enter with caution. There is a good amount of parking in the lot, and for warmer weather several outdoor eating tables. There are also chairs inside in bar seating at the window. Service is quick and efficient, and menu boards are inside so you can plan your order before reaching the register. Sadly, they now offer Pepsi and not Coke as on the menu. The food, however, is a fun vintage pick me up and the menu prices are fair. You definitely won't feel as though you've wasted anything, time or money. I tried a Longburger with cheese, a burger on a hot dog bun, and it was fun! Taste wasn't surprising, but I feel like I got a piece of Americana. There is a single restroom available for customers.“
