Halibut with prosecco and grapefruit cream sauce was absolutely amazing. I love the atmosphere and the books as check sleeves is a unique and loveable idea. Also love how the owner gives the locals a special aperitif! Really nice touch. ?

We completely enjoyed our first visit to Geppetto on Valentines day. The atmosphere, my wife pointed out, seemed to make Connecticut disappear and Italy appear in it's place. The menu is comfortable and small which we like because it says that real care will be taken with your meal...and this was clearly the case with each of two courses we enjoyed. The grilled octopus and my wife's Quail antipasto were prepared perfectly. The bucatini all'Amatriciana and lamb was fantastic and delivered hot and delicious. We shared a blueberry tart type dessert. Thanks also to Jenna for her great service, we left with smiles on our faces and intentions to return again.

Favorite restaurant in the state of CT, great atmosphere and if you live close by you're going to want to come every week. Food highlights quality ingredients. This is the closest to eating in Italy that I have experienced in the US. Epic wine list!

EXCELLENT food. Yes, service is slow but the atmosphere and the dishes make up for that in spades. We came here for a birthday dinner as a party of four. From appetizers to when the check came took about three hours in total and cost $280 for one cocktail, one bottle of wine, three appetizers, four entrees, three dessert, one macchiato and one limincello. So, reasonably priced fir the amount of food. We did have to ask for more bread and water several times but the decor made the place so warm and cozy with the, music, exposed brick, and soft lighting we really didnt mind. I had the Sazerac which knocked my socks off with its well-balanced flavors. That drink packed a punch! I had the pasta special, pappardelle with steak and mushrooms. What a divine symphony of al dente pasta paired with a savory, light, buttery sauce. The macchiatto had been prepared perfectly, bone dry and with excellent Espresso. To finish, we had the poached pears, panna cott, and crema catalano. All three looked exquisite and tasted none too sweet. All in all, tattoo bueno!

They've followed me from Park Slope to the Northwest Corner. And I couldn't be happier. Delicious food that is approachable but sophisticated. Had the Halibut tonight and it was perfect. Resolution for 2024 is to eat more Geppetto's food.Kid-friendliness: Our 11 month old is very well behaved but does let out the occasional happy screech. The patrons and staff were all incredibly understanding.

Shrimp and squid ink pasta kind of bland, whole shrimp but not easy to remove shells. Whole Med. Seabass was fileted in kitchen, not at table, but very good. Halibut was pretty tasty, had a unique sauce. Service was slow, but was a busy Friday.

Amazing find. As someone from NYC, I’ve had my share of solid Italian food in US. With impeccable service, and food that reminds me of Batali’s Babbo, this is a must try restaurant in CT if you are in the area for skiing or other business. Amazing~
