I give up. The BEST pizza place in Trumbull that put Gioves out of business has apparently succumbed to the success abyss. I ordered a pizza, wings and a chicken parm slice for the Mrs. The pizza was ok, the slice was made halfassed and gross, the wings were OLD, burying them in a river of sauce is not the answer. The wings were just horrible, I threw them away. $40 out the window, each of my last 2 orders have been horrible. I miss their original crew, they were the best!!!

The pizzas are very tasty! Also ordered sandwiches and deserts! All delicious!Very nice staff they have over there! We will definitely order again!

I ordered a meat lovers pizza and bowl of pasta soup on 11-13-23. When the pizza arrived it was cold and dry, hardly any meat. $35.00 plus $10.00 tip for food I had to throw out. Not even edible.

I love Crown and have been going there since they opened but the last couple of times I have ordered, I have been incredibly disappointed. I love their Nona's pizza. It's a 17" with crushed tomatoes, fresh mozzarella and basil. When it's good, it's really wonderful; simple and delicious. I know I am going to make some people crazy, but, I prefer the crust on this pizza lightly baked and do not brown my cheese! Browned fresh mozzarella turns to a plastic and unyielding rectangle. I left, as I always do, a note asking that they "lightly bake" my pizza and added "please, do not burn the crust". I used GrubHub and after waiting over an hour, I called and was told the driver was on his way. After another fifteen or so minutes, I called again and Gil, the owner, called the driver while I was on the phone. The driver said he was here (I live in an apartment complex) and couldn't find my place. I know this place can be confusing so I had given specific directions. He was on the wrong side of the building which I completely understand so I said to just drive around to the other side. After another ten minutes he still wasn't here so I was calling back when he called me to say he still couldn't find me. He said he was (still?) at the front of the building so I asked if he wanted to come around or I could just come to him. He said no, he would come around so as I waited to see headlights, he came walking around the corner. He handed me the food, which at this point I could feel was no longer even warm. I could have dealt with the cold food but when I opened the box and saw that the pizza was incinerated, I just couldn't believe it. I'm not talking browned. This was burned. After three disconnects, Gil explained they were very busy and must have missed my note. He was very apologetic and offered to send over a new one or issue a credit to use at another time. Although I elected to accept the "store" credit, I think it would be better customer service to offer a credit back to the card issuer as well. Some people may not want to order from them again. I am forgiving and crap happens. I'm still really hungry.

The pizza is not fresh - ?. I don't mind spending money on outside food but sheesh - when it's not fresh it's such a disappointment. Sicilian - the dough and cheese seemed like it was from 2 days old. The chicken wraps- the chicken was hard and SO dry! The food seems like it's from days before and reheated. The canoli's were the only the only things we enjoyed and were fresh.
