Waitress was sweet but she checked with manager about our requestto substitute a cup of soup for the normal three sides with the baked haddock. My wife couldnt have the sides. Wouldnt do it. our first and last time here. ALSO there was a 1 inch piece of plastic in cole slaw. Didnt report it cause we thought they might charge us more. ha ha

I have to say I’ve been living in Vernon for the last 27 years. We had our ups and downs at 99 but this is the last time we were going there because are last visit there Friday It all started with the hostess we show up there and put our name in and ask for booth. While we were waiting, we watched the hostess giveaway two separate boots to two separate couples that show up after us, and when I mentioned it to her, she had an attitude and said that we had the next table I was looking around for a manager, and there was no manager to be found so we finally sat down and realize That they had the summer lobster special, which is a lobster roll with fries and coleslaw normally they give us butter on the side so we can put our own butter on and have it as we would like to eat it …this time around they put the butter on the bottom roll and put the lobster meat on top with no butter and it was dry the coleslaw was like eating raw cabbage, and when we mention it to the waitress that it was raw cabbage, and someone should check the coleslaw even she got an attitude about it .. also we like to get their mango iced tea and this time around they changed it again and it was unsweetened and it tasted disgusting we try to put some sugar in it and that didn’t work we are done with this place if you want my advice, don’t bother !!!!

Be careful when you order make sure you check it because they don't put what you order order loaded mashed potatoes I got to baked potatoes the portions are smaller and the food is not as good anymore they want me to get my service anymore thumbs down for me

We enjoy coming here on our date night. The wait staff are always friendly and efficient. We like the popcorn they serve as a free appetizer. . . wish it was a bit more buttery. Our favorite dishes are the Chicken Pot pie and fried & stuffed shrimp. Their baked potato is cooked/made perfectly. I even eat the skin ! They don't salt it at all like other restaurants do.Parking: Right near restaurant including separate takeout parking where employees bring your order to your car.

I went to the 99 restaurant in Vernon CT for lunch after leaving a Dr's office&Ordered a Classic burger cooked Medium well.Unfortunately it Came out nearly Raw! After waiting awhile to get someone to send it back so it Could be Cooked Correctly, it Eventually came back well done so I ended up Settling for it because I was Starving at the time!! It Will be awhile before I Return to this 99 restaurant because I Felt Disappointed with the Initial Experience of (Undercooked Food) ??? the Bartender Kelly Tried to Correct the situation as best as she could? This is Why I'm Only Giving my HONEST Review of this 99 restaurant in Vernon CT of 3 stars
