Stopped in for a quick lunch by the highway and had a great meal. Seafood was tasty, service was friendly, price was half what we paid yesterday in MA for twice the quality. Would return for sure.

I really want to give Elmo's a 5 star, but I can't. We walked in and were greeted (kind of) by a young woman who was wearing ripped up baggy jeans and a baggy sweat shirt. I wasn't immediately sure she actually worked there. She showed us to our table, she didn't once look us in the eye. She didn't smile, she didn't say anything. She came back with plates and silverware and just put them down again, not saying anything. It was as if she was actually annoyed by our presence. There were 4 people in our group and we were all pretty stunned by her demeanor. On the other hand, our waitress came over wearing What appeared to be a uniform. She was very upbeat and pleasant and helpful. She helped us with her menu choices and came back a couple of times, making sure everything was okay. The food was as always very good. The "hostess" could definitely learn a thing or two from her.I may be old fashioned, I know ripped jeans is a fashion thing these days. But if the rest of your wait staff is required to wear uniforms, I think that your hostess should be presentable as well. She definitely needs some lessons in customer service.I just hope the wait staff does not have to share their gratuities with the hostess because she did nothing to earn it.Overall, aside from the initial negative impressions, we did have a good meal.

We were here for the first time. We were visiting Manchester and staying at a nearby hotel. It was late and we were hungry. We were recommended to go to Elmo's.We weren't sure if they were still cooking, but we were seated and were able to order.Everybody we met were so nice and friendly. The food was really good, but too much for us to eat and we were given boxes. We finished everything for lunch the next day. We will come back the next time we're in the area.

Went here for the first time about a month ago. The food was a hit or miss. We started with fried calamari, it had good flavor and a nice breading. I also had the lobster roll with sweet potato fries. There was an acceptable amount of lobster in the roll, but it was heavy on the Mayo and it had probably equal amounts of celery to lobster which I was not a fan on. Also the celery was in big chunks. On top of that it had clearly sat in the window for a while and my cold lobster roll was now warm, which was off putting. The sweet potato fries were also cut too thick and did not cook all the way through. My husband had the fried seafood dinner which he was a fan of, no complaints there. But he also had the clam chowder and it had very little clam flavor. With all that being said we sat at the bar and the service was very good as were the drinks. We plan on giving them another chance someday down the line and avoid ordering certain things.

If you’re looking for a local restaurant with great seafood and meats, look no further. Our group of nine has been dining here for years. I don’t always remember to take and post pictures because the food is so good. Prices are reasonable, the quality is exceptional.

Went here for my birthday yesterday and got the muscles in white wine and lemon sauce and fried calamari for appetizers. Calamari, very good (7.5 out of ten). Muscles weren’t as enjoyable (5 out of ten for that dish)For my entree I got a 2 1/2 pound lobster steamed and it was delicious! Got a side of the sweet potato fries which came with an amazing dipping sauce. My boyfriend got the blackened salmon and loved it. My Mom got the prime rib and raves about it and my dad got the pork chops and also loved itWe all got desserts to go and they were semi frozen (not fresh) and had to let them sit for a while before eating.Service was 10/10

We've lived in Manchester over 35 years and never ventured into Elmos dockside. The impetus to go was a $50 gift card we had won. Monday night - lot was pretty full when we arrived. I think the Monday-Wednesday happy hour (3-6) was the draw, however the restaurant did have more customers than I expected. Service - not bad. Our servers were very nice and made sure we had everything we needed. Food - not bad. Bread was ok. Drink was ok. I tried a new apple spritz expecting more of a mulled cider taste, however the spices and flavor weren't there. I think that the server was planning to tell the bartender to up the taste, so I'd expect improvement next time. Fish was good. I had baked stuffed sole & my husband had the baked scrod. Potatoes were good - though not as good as we've had at some steakhouses. Chowder was very good. Decor - ok. Maybe some updates to brighten the place up would be good So - we'd go back. I want to try the fish & chips next time. Surprisingly, other reviews seemed to spotlight the steak/prime rib which seems a bit odd to me for a seafood place. However when I go to a seafood place, I'm going to order fish, right?!
