I placed an online order 4/6/24 for 5:30pm for two orders of ice cream. The first was a large ice cream (2 scoops of chocolate chip, one scoop mint, with marshmallow topping). This sundae was also marked for a peanut/tree nut allergy. I got my boyfriend a cookie dough friendz with regular vanilla ice cream and cookie dough. My boyfriend took one bite of his friendz and immediately tasted peanut butter. He brought it inside and kindly explained to the girl in the front that he could taste peanut butter and his girlfriend is deathly allergic to peanut butter (again, I marked my allergy for my sundae). It was clearly cross contamination. He was responded with attitude from her saying that “you should’ve marked both ice cream orders that there was an allergy.” He explained that it wasn’t okay to have cross contamination anyway- there was a nut allergy on the order in general, plus he never ordered his friendz with nuts anyway so regardless it shouldn’t have had it. We were both not upset, until the worker was blaming us and being rude. Another kind younger male worker remade the ice cream carefully and was very easygoing. We go to Friendly’s often, but never the Vernon. Very disappointed and I think if it was a simple “hey, we’re so sorry for that. We’ll clean the machine and make a fresh one for you” , it would’ve been fine. We don’t know the name of the rude girl but it was just unacceptable. Take allergies more serious please. Won’t be coming back.

One of the things that bothered me about Friendly's in recent years is how disorganized it seemed. Everyone was doing everything from greeting customers to making sundaes to waiting tables. Whenever one needed help everyone was busy doing something else so service was always slow.Things seem to have changed. The staff here was on top of things and service was very efficient.

I just moved to town and was alone in my still empty house. The Burrstone Rd Friendly’s was close so I did a take out order online. It was done when I got there and the ladies working were so nice! The BLT was actually quite good on sourdough and the onion rings were awesome.

I tried something new on the menu. Chicken breast with two different cheeses melted on top. It came with garlic mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli. It was very tasty. ? The broccoli on the bottom of the dish weren't as good as the others because they were watery. When I did the first chew, water gushed out on every sprig. The waitress was very attentive, efficient and friendly.Parking: Plenty of parking near the building. . . including handicap parking right in front of the entrance.Kid-friendliness: They have high chairs and booster seats available on request. Plenty of different kid friendly options to eat that kids will enjoy ?

Friendly's Walk Up Window in Vernon is not so friendly anymore. I stood waiting about 8 min before I had to speak up for one of the four people behind the counter to acknowledge me. The was a line of about four people behind me. I was only there to pick up an online order and it had been ready before I even arrived. They didn't even apologize. They just handed me my bag and went about their business.
