I visited Square peg pizza and bar mainly because of a really nice outdoor grill .This really stood out to me.After going inside on ocassion I tried some the tap beers at happy hour and had some brick oven pizza , it was really enjoyable ,good conversation and nice atmosphere inside : nice for quick lunch or evening out.Mostly Italian foods ,salad selection ,ect...comparatble pricing to other restaurants and bars and grills in the vernon CT area.

It was my first time coming to square peg and it will most likely be my last. I was pleasantly surprised with how the service, atmosphere and food was overall. The place was empty when we came in - our server seemed completely lost at almost every interaction. We asked for a coke, had to remind her for it, we asked for blue cheese, we got ranch, we asked for our bill to be split, it wasn’t split. It was one of the most uncomfortablest interactions I’ve ever had with a server. Granted, I was a server for years - and I tend to give a lot of leisure. But this lady just seemed lost. The pizza was really soggy and the cheese just slid off - this is definitely a place to grab some pizza if it’s your last resort. I’m a bit disappointed because we spent $62 with very poor quality service and food - eating out should be a treat, not a regret.

Recommend coming here for their delicious pizza. The bartender Sean is always welcoming! They should look into bringing back live music on the weekends but other than that , really enjoy coming here!

I went there to square pegs for the first time tonight, Thursday night. My roommate ordered a pizza it was OK. She said it was good. I ordered the chicken tenders. They were the driest no flavor I’ve ever had. I had two of them. It was disgusting and done.

Square Peg Pizza is a hidden gem in our neighborhood, offering delectable pizzas that hit the spot every time. From their crispy thin crusts to their mouthwatering toppings, every bite is a delight. But what truly sets Square Peg apart is the exceptional service, particularly from Sean, whose attentiveness and friendliness elevate the dining experience. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a casual night out with friends or a cozy date night. However, one thing I'd love to see return is the live music on the weekends. It added such a vibrant atmosphere to the restaurant and enhanced the overall experience. Bringing back live music would truly make Square Peg the ultimate destination for delicious pizza and good times.Parking: Just be aware of the limited parking situation. If you’re going for happy hour, trivia, etc., just try and get there a little earlier to get a spot.

Love square peg! Sean is absolutely amazing…keeps me coming back. Great food. Great happy hour. Love trivia on Wednesdays. Just wish they had live music on the weekends!

The place is nice, service good... The pizza was NOT so good, just ok. A bit sloppy, poorly cut, sparse toppings, spots that were too thin, very overpriced for the quality product we received. Domino's would have been nearly equivalent if not better.

I've ordered pizza for delivery and the first time i was very happy, their pepperoni pizza was loaded with pepperoni . The next couple of times the pepperoniwas sparse. So ,this time I ordered a small pepperoni with extra pepperoni and some pieces only had 1 or 2 pieces of pepperoni on it and the pizza was ice cold when it was delivered it took over an hour to get to me. So disappointing.

Nice place but not many staff and they were in no rush to serve me. I ordered a small Giulianova Pizza without peppers. It has the potential to be a great pie but wasn't. The crust was too wide especially on one side and the toppings were mostly in the middle. The pie appeared perfect but was chewy and not crisp other than the outer crust. Otherwise it was tasty but definitely not worth $16. Staff were friendly and the pizza was done fast. They offer lots of innovative pizzas that I'd like to try but I'm not willing to pay such a premium for a so-so pizza.Vegetarian options: Some potentially good vegetarian options

We love coming here! It's our second time in the two weeks they have been open. The food is great, and the service is great, despite how busy they have been! Kim is especially wonderful, and we can't wait to visit more!

The pizza is either 5 stars or 2 stars and it depends on the day and who is cooking the pizza. Sometimes you get a pizza that is properly cooked and other times its doughy and soft on the bottom.I love the bartenders and I love the happy hour but the consistency of the pizza needs to be there. When it gets cooked right it's the best pizza in the area, when it's undercooked on the undercarriage then it's not very good at all.

I've been to the one in Glastonbury. The vernon one is bright and inviting. Food was great.

I was looking for a good brunch restaurant and Square Peg came up in my search - what a find. Lovely staff, convenient parking, great food, cocktails, and of course PIZZA. We had the greatest waitress! She was very sweet, kind, created conversations, and made me feel like a regular customer. She gave us recommendations and was very attentive. We ordered the Figgy Piggy (Fresh prosciutto, fig compote, fontina cheese, garlic, parmesan cheese & lemon vinaigrette arugula)! Oh Honey Pizza (Fresh prosciutto, honey, fontina cheese, figs, gorgonzola & parmesan cheese). Fried Dough (Delicious fried dough balls tossed in cinnamon sugar and dusted with powdered sugar; served with a side of Nutella.) The atmosphere is relaxing and the place is very clean. I will definitely go back to try all of their other pizzas!!!

I was very pleased with this place when they opened. For some reason the great staff and kitchen help were let go. Bad decision. My experience for the last couple of months has been subpar . I feel if they don't pickup with more caring help, they are done in Vernon.
