I was craving Spanish food and found this place online. The interior is very inviting and spacious. The tables also have some beautiful artwork on them. The main thing about this place is the food. I tried the tortas. I was a little hesitant because I never tried tortas before and was thinking of ordering tacos like I usually do at these places but I decided to give the tortas a try and was not disappointed. I got mine with stake. It was filled with lettuce, onions, avocado, and pickles. The texture of the bread was ideal and held everything together. They were also very quick with serving my order. I also got a strawberry and cheese danish as a dessert. This place gives you the best value for your money. I will definitely come here again to try other items.

Quality in tortillas has gone down a little but the meat itself is still fairly delicious. When I'm in the area, I'll be sure to make another visit :-)

I recently had the pleasure of dining at La Jarochita Restaurant, and I must say, it was an absolute culinary delight! From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was transported to the vibrant flavors and warm hospitality of authentic Mexican cuisine. The Steak Tacos - Perfection on a Plate The star of the show for me was undoubtedly the steak tacos. The tender, flavorful beef was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection, nestled in soft, freshly made tortillas. Each bite was a harmonious blend of savory, tangy, and slightly spicy notes that left me craving more. Shrimp Cocktail - A Refreshing Delight As an appetizer, I indulged in the shrimp cocktail, and I was thoroughly impressed. The shrimp were plump, juicy, and bursting with flavor, complemented by a zesty, tangy cocktail sauce that perfectly balanced the sweetness of the seafood. Tres Leches - A Heavenly Dessert For dessert, I couldn't resist the temptation of the tres leches cake. This decadent treat was an absolute revelation, with a moist, spongy texture that melted in my mouth, and a rich, creamy blend of three different types of milk that left me in a state of pure bliss. I also tried the res soup, and I was pleasantly surprised by the depth of flavor and the hearty, satisfying nature of this dish. The broth was rich and flavorful, and the tender chunks of beef and vegetables made for a truly comforting and nourishing experience. Overall, my dining experience at La Jarochita was nothing short of exceptional. The food was consistently delicious, the service was attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking an authentic and unforgettable Mexican culinary adventure. I can't wait to return and explore more of their mouthwatering offerings.

It's the best taco meat selection in the county. They have a large variety of meats to choose from from for tacos and zopes and huarches etc. but I can't give them the full five stars because their salsas are lacking any depth and flavor. And the meats could use some more seasoning. Second, they don't serve tables so it's a crazy free for all most days. So again, I can't give them the full five stars for ambiance. They do have a truck in the parking lot serves many of the dishes they serve on the inside if you don't want to go inside. The menudo is however, top notch and although I am only rating them 4 stars overall, the menudo is probably the best in NOVA.

Rating: ***** An experience I'd always remember **** I am coming back *** I'd be willing to come back ** Wouldn't recommend anyone * Disastrous experience/restaurant **** I need to come back because the el pastor is taunting me Review: Walking into La Jarochita made me nostalgic about the middle and high school cafeteria days when people would sit around in groups and talk while eating food. Families gather around almost filling up the whole place and you walk around trying to find an open seat. I walked up to the line and looked around as I saw people getting their food and helping themselves to a platter of toppings and quarts of various sauces. The employees rush to keep up with the demand, refilling the containers every so often. After getting to the register, I got the asada and the carnitas, beef, and pulled/shredded pork respectively. The lady spoke little if any English but told me the order number in Spanish as I walked away confused. Luckily I read through some other reviews while waiting in line and found out they call out the order number on the countertop where they make the food for the tacos. As for the food, it was filling with generous amounts of meat and customizable with the different sauce selections and herbs, onions, tomatoes, and lime. It is really up to you based on how you like your tacos. The corn tortillas were also cooked to order although they were a little too fatty from the amount of oil used to brown it. I topped my tacos with a bit of tomato, onion, cilantro, a splash of lime, and some spicy green sauce. You'll come to La Jaorchita for the high-quality tacos but for the locals, La Jarochita is more than a restaurant, it's a casual place to relax after work and enjoy food with family and friends, a rare third place. Recommendations: El pastor (marinated pork) taco Asada (beef) taco

I've heard really good things about this place for many years and have always wanted to go, but just never had the chance, until recently! I went around lunch time on a Tuesday and they weren't very busy, so I was able to order pretty quickly. I only speak English, but I've a "brown skin" person, so Spanish people always want to speak Spanish to me first, but when I replied in English, that wasn't a problem - I bring that up, because normally at authentic Mexican taquerías this normally is an issue. They make a large offer of proteins in any style of serving you want (Example: You can get Pollo in a taco, gordita, sopes, tortas, etc), so I got a pollo and an asada. They have a big bin of pico to scoop out once you get your food and that had the best, freshest flavor! Their green and red sauces were both very nicely done and both were spicy, with the red being very hot, but tasty. The pollo was excellent - Lots of great flavor, quite possibly one of the best pollo tacos I've had! The asada was dry and not flavored very well. The fresh lime I squeezed on top really helped to light it up, but it still needed more help, so I used lots of salsa.Overall, I really enjoyed my experience here. I can see why they're rated so high, definitely worth the hype!

Food was so good!!!We got various food items tacos, gordito, sope and ended with a tres leches. The Tripa taco was surprisingly good!! It was crispy and and tasty.Would recommend their gordito, which is also crispy on the outside and soft inside. Their tortillas seem to be made in house, not positive but if not made in house it's still very good.

Feels like you're walking into a piece of Mexico. Food and ambiance is top notch! We got the Al Pastor Tacos (cuz how could you order anything else with presentation like that ). So flavorful! A friend also ordered the fish soup which was super good (and huge!).

Fun atmosphere and great food! The music was blasting with some folks dancing while waiting for their orders. The Asada and Al Pastor tacos were tasty and the condiment bar of salsa, lime, and pico was a great addition! Parking was plentiful as it is in a shared lot. Great food and fun...will be back! Enjoy!

Authentic mexican tacos! Got carne asada, lengua, chicken quesadilla, carnitas, chorizo, and al pastor with simple toppings and side of sauce. If you're looking for authentic mexican definitely check it out here! The tongue was sooo tender... cooked perfectly. The quesadilla was really big and had so much chicken! There is a bakery inside when you walk in with a lot of tables / seating. Really enjoyed the tacos.
