On a Wednesday during business hours, the restaurant's stated closing time, via Google, is midnight. However, upon arriving at 10:30 PM, I was promptly informed that last call had already been made for all orders as they actually close at 11 PM. To ensure accurate information, this discrepancy should be updated on their Google Business profile. As for marketing, I'm not sure who's in charge. Might want to make this change immediately.

Was my second time at this restaurant and food and atmosphere was good but the service was so poor! I felt that I even exist, I was trying to catch the attention of my waitress with my hand all the time! (Some of the team were so helpful as the hostess, others waitress that saw me and my friends and help us taking our orders) I totally understand that is hard to pay attention to small tables if you have a huge party but the manager have to have this in mind and don’t give a lot of small table to the same person in charge of the large parties.

My wife and I had brunch here recently. The interior and atmosphere was amazing complete with cool photos, a bull's head decoration, and great music! The chorizo and ham with cheese was great, and I loved the perfect olive oil pancakes, and the desserts were soooo good, my wife loved the lava cake and I enjoyed the burnt cheesecake! I would definitely rate this place 10/10! If you can't make it to Barcelona, at least try this awesome authentic Spanish dining and bar experience!

Attended a 50th birthday party this past Saturday. Food was awful. We had these meat platters and seafood paella was ehh. Cold soggy potatoes and the plates of veggies were gross. I wouldn’t recommend having a large party there unless you can pick from the menu. Their prefixe is not great.Other than that it was okay - room was tight for 30 people and you get a hard shut off when it’s over. I understand they need the space but the restaurant was so packed you couldn’t even get a drink at the bar.

Though it was a little bit difficult to find the entrance, Barcelona Wine Bar was absolutely fantastic for a moody dinner with amazing food. The red sangria was amazing and the huge menu means there is something for everyone. The patatas bravas and sea coast mushrooms were both phenomenal, and our paella was also fantastic. Our tapas arrived quickly but the paella did take quite a long time, but it was absolutely worth the wait. Try to get a seat in the main restaurant rather than the heated and covered outdoor seating area, as it was really cold in there and I couldn't even take my coat off.

Food and drinks were so good! Night life and atmosphere is amazing. Third time here. Amanda has been our bartender each time. This girl is the BEST bartender we have had in a long time. Super attentive and she works so hard. She kills the service bar for sure!!! Will come back here just for her!! Kudos to Barcelona for such a great hire!!!

We had a reservation for 7:00 pm. We got there at 6:50. They said that they will let us know when our table is ready with a text. They texted us at 7:49 to let us know our table was ready. When I went up they said I’m sorry can you wait a few minutes while they clean and get your table ready. We ended up waiting another 30 min. We ordered food and they brought out the food at almost 10:00 pm and it came out very cold. We are very disappointed.

Starting with the pros: delicious food, incredible service.Cons: 45 minute wait for a reservation. What’s the point of a reservation if you can’t keep the time customers requested?? Also when we arrived to our table for four there were only three seats at our table. They had to find an extra chair. Be prepared, if you make a reservation for 7, you won’t be sat until 7:45. We loved everything but left feeling extremely frustrated when people who didn’t have a reservation were sat before for the same number of people WITH A reservation. Seems like management dropped the ball.

Overall truly disappointed, this place is highly overrated, that’s the least I can say.We reserved a table for 2 more than 2 weeks ago. When we arrived to the restaurant we were about 5 minutes late since we had trouble finding parking, the host told us that they were running a little behind on tables of 2 which was weird since we had a reservation for 6:30. We had to wait 45 minutes to finally get our table. Interesting fact, people who did not have a reservation also had to wait 45 minutes to get a table, so let me ask you, what is the point of making a reservation??We were invited to go seat at the bar for a drink while we were waiting for our table to be ready. Bar was full so we came back to the lobby and waited patiently until our name was called. Nothing was offered to us to drink to compensate their lack of floor/reservation management. This is something that would NEVER happened in my restaurant. Our table was right next to the bathroom ???At this point, we were starving and already very annoyed of the wait so we did not make a fuss about it and sat down. The waitress was nice and polite. We gave her our drink and food order at the same time since it felt like she was really busy. Food came wayyyyy before the bottle of wine we ordered. When I asked for it, the waitress seemed annoyed and answered me with a little bit of attitude. People (mostly man) were lining up outside of the bathroom and standing way to close to our table, it made us feel super uncomfortable.Food was ok, nothing outstanding. The croquetas were cold in the middle. The gambas were not real gambas but small cheap shrimps that tasted nothing, no flavors. Super disappointing. This place seems like they want to try to look like fine dining but it mostly feel like a cheap way of making a quick buck. Floor management is lacking competence. People who take the time to reserve should never have to wait that long for their table. It’s totally unprofessional. We do not recommend and we will not be back.

Great place for a date night or just hang with friends. They serve small plates of delicious food. They do have large plates, but the wait time is 45 to 60 mins, depending on the crowd.

I've been coming to Barcelona for years and it's always a favorite of mine to recommend to friends and family. I'm finally writing a review because our (newer) server Gabi has made the experience so much fun and enjoyable. Gabi gave wonderful recommendations to pair with what I usually order and made the experience more exciting; especially while branching out like trying the Valdeon cheese and Mahi Mahi for the first time. The kind yet detail-oriented service blew me away tonight. I will be coming again as a repeat customer!

Have yet to eat here, but I have heard a lot of good feedback on the food. I typically come here at night to enjoy the wide variety of wines they have. Usually a good crowd. Service is always great. Bartenders always have great suggestions!

If you make a reservation then prepare to wait for 45 minutes to be seated. Don't worry though, the manager will come over, give a little shrug and offer a half hearted apology. The bread will be free but don't you think for a second that a $7 beer will be comped for your trouble. Plenty of other places in West Hartford where management appreciates the customer and actually cares if they come back.

Wow, my boyfriend and I came on Friday after work for an impromptu date night and let me say, Barcelona blew us out of the park (well, me at least!) The only thing that wasn't the most pleasant was that we were seated by a family with two kids who took their shoes off and were having them on the table and being very disruptive (not the restaurants fault, but the parenting could've been more enforced). Luckily, they left before we put in our orders. Our waitress Alicia was so sweet and very informative on the menu, as a lot of it seemed daunting and we had to look a few things up. We started off with an espresso martini and an amaretto sour, which was one of the best amaretto sours I've had at a restaurant! The espresso martini was more for the elevated taste buds, as it was more rich and bitter, where I'm still a child and like drinks more sweet. Still was strong and delicious! We ordered a good amount of tapas and a few of my favorites were the pork belly (will order so many times, WOW so good), the papas bravada (who doesn't love cubes potatoes, and the jamon croquettes were honestly heaven in my mouth. There were so many other tapas that we tried that were also very tasty. Overall, the ambiance was perfect for a nice intimate date--definite a candlelit dinner, the food was delicious, and the drinks did not disappoint! I would definitely return.
