We dined in last night (10/12/23) we had a party of 5. Our server was top notch, our meals were extremely delicious and outstanding in their presentations. The photos do not do any justice. I had Shrimp Fra Diavolo, Pinot Grigio White and my wife and I shared the Carrot Cake.

I like this place and have visited 3 or 4 times. The drinks are large, tasty and service at the bar is excellent. I have also sat in the dining room and the dinners are all very good. This is a "red sauce" place & I don't mean that as a negative. They have braciola on the menu! Know who else does? Nobody!

Excellent food , the waiter remembered our order and didn't even need to write anything down . All the food was fresh and delicious and staff was friendly and served us quickly

We arrived 15 minutes before closing, however they still served us a full dinner and dessert. We never felt rushed, not even for a second. Great Job!

Apps hands down has the best Italian food in West Haven. Monday nights they have a Prime Rib special that my family and I love. Highly recommend. Amazing food and excellent service.
There's a reason why they've been around for 84 years. App's consistently serves up the best Italian from New Haven to Arthur Ave. Huge portions, great value.
We dined here after my uncle's funeral. The staff were excellent and the food was hot and fresh. Couldn't be happier with the way our family was treated.

Our favorite Italian restaurant. We live out of state but come here every time we’re in town. Food is fresh, everything is made from scratch and just delicious. Service is great. We’ve had Justin for service last few times and he does a great job.
really wanted to like this place--that didn't happen; first thought, decent atmosphere; onto the bar--an at best average cosmopolitan, 15 dollars, at a neighborhood west haven restaurant--ok, fine; then the bread, just ok, no oil for dipping into; nondescript salad, mainly lettuce, a few olives, underseasoned dressing; ok, still hope; entree, veal, a good barometer of an italian restaurant; in this case, less than top shelf meat mercilessly pounded to make tender, but at the same time creating a grainy texture..ugh...combined with a scant, flavorless sauce, and disappointment enters the scene; the pasta, alot but rubbery, with not enough garlic and oil to make it tasteful; onto dessert--rice pudding decent, but others bemoaned the "old tasting" cheesecake...a nice touch would have been to have the owner or manager to stop by the table...nope...seeing the high ratings, this appears a minority opinion, yet an honest one...
