Still Delicious Bakery • $$
13 Boston Post Rd, Westbrook

“I am gluten free, my husband is not, and we both love Still Delicious, which is a dedicated GF bakery in Westbrook, CT. It offers plenty of dairy free and vegan options as well. Mark is the owner and a pleasure to deal with. He is passionate about what he does and always takes the time to discuss what he makes and offers suggestions. I don't think there is anything I haven't tried there. My absolute favorites are the muffins (all varieties), the rustica baguettes, the whoopie pies, the half cookie/brownies and the mini loafs (all varieties). My husband will no longer eat regular muffins and panics when we don't have any Still Delicious muffins left in our freezer. We basically buy big batches and freeze them so we always have them on hand. He also can't get enough of the whoopie pies. That's his favorite dessert. There is always plenty of delicious baked goods available at Still Delicious but since it's a small bakery, I like pre-ordering since I always buy bigger quantities. This is not a sit down place but a typical bakery where you order and take out. Absolutely recommend trying it out! You will be hooked.“

“Amazing Mexican food!! I've been to this place 7 times, getting the steak burrito 6 of those times since its so good. The chips and salsa is exceptional. The only thing I wouldn't recommend is the Guacamole, it's very similar to the guacamole you would find at supermarkets. I would definitely recommend getting different things on the menu each time you go. Today I tried the steak Areapas which were fantastic. It had rice and beans, a small salad, cornmeal cake topped with streak with a special sauce on top and Pico de Gallo to put on the salad. The cornmeal cake tasted homemade and also it had this small sweetness to it which added to the flavor.“

Scallops

“Lovely atmosphere, warm, calm, and clean. I ordered the scallop pasta dish. The chefs prepared the scallops perfectly, light sear on the exterior and juicy, soft interior. Well done. I was not fond of the pasta, undercooked and tossed with an insipid sauce. Would return to try another dish.“

“Such a cute and cozy spot in downtown Old Saybrook! When you walk in, there's a whole case of various pastries, and it looks like they have several gluten free options as well! I ordered a pumpkin spice latte that was to die for!! Sort of on the sweeter side of things- but I didn't mind. We ordered a tuna melt that came with a side of carrot sticks, and an avocado BLT special that came with a side of hash browns. Everything came out great! Definitely recommend a stop if you're in the area.“

“5 stars all the way. This place checks all the boxes. We've been wanting to come here for quite a while now and today all the stars were in alignment to make it happen. The menu looked incredible and had all the types of food that we like from Breakfast to the lunch menu. They do close at 2:00pm, so get there early. Tons of GF options, so I had the GF Cali wrap w/ grilled chicken, avocado, and apple smoked bacon. $2 extra for the GF wrap and $2 extra for the waffle fries. The wrap was good, and the waffle fries were better...best I ever had better. The ketchup on the table to compliment the fries is organic. Can't tell you how much I hate seeing ketchup in other restaurants with high fructose corn syrup. The in house made side of slaw and pickles were also very good. Wife had the candied walnut pancake (singular)...but the pancake was bigger than a small to medium size pizza...I kid you not. She said it was very good, just a bit on the sweet side. Coffee was good. This restaurant also has Savy tea. Savy has the best tea. If you've never been there in Madison, Ct. and like tea, Savy is the place to go. The place was very busy on a Monday at 1:00pm. The atmosphere is very comfortable, waitress was sweet and accommodating as well. I was surprised to see that they have a full bar w/ wine, beer, and mixed drinks. They'll even put a little somthin somthin in your milk shake. This is now our new favorite place and can't wait to try other items on the menu.“

Traveled the northeast coast and tried several other places and decided to change departure plans so we could have it again. We bragged so much that a couple of friends from New Jersey made the drive to meet us.“
