Open Rice is closed permanently. I talked to the store owner next door and he said a new owner is opening a sushi place soon where Ipen Rice used to be.

Not at all impressed. All four dishes we ordered were blah or less than good. Surprised at positive reviews, frankly. Moo she had very little sauce and was not fresh. Beef was not at all flavorful. Appetizers less than tasty. For really good Chinese food locally, go to Enchanted Szechuan. Best locally. Others Wild Rice and China Moon

Our go to place for Asian take out. Food is good, prices are fair, food is hot.

Terrible and not authentic at all. Have ordered a few times for delivery and the food is inedible. Not sure if all these reviews are fake or if people are really that clueless.

this place is absolutely amazing!! i ordered a pokebowl, and the salmon was sooo fresh. the miso soup is also amazing, they put the perfect amount of seaweed and tofu inside. 10/10, definitely try this place out if youre thinking about it !!!

This take out Asian restaurant serves great tasting Malaysian and Chinese entrees. The food is delicious and the service is fast and friendly with a smile. The value of the food is amazing for not just Westport but anywhere in CT. The containers are packed to the brim with tons of food! Our 9 year old daughter loves the Shrimp Malaysian MaiFun (sweet and salty entree). The shrimps are quite large and fresh. We will be returning to Open Rice often and very soon.

This is our regular place for carryout. The food is better than anywhere else in the area by far. Totally recommend. Never had a bad meal. 10/10

Great delivery. Arrived really hot. Family of four each said what they ordered was delicious. Very filling so don't over order. The Poke Bowls were a hit.

Got the triple crown... Don't know what kind of "chicken" they use but it couldn't be chewed down.. The shrimp were WAY overcooked and dried out...also still had the hard tail on them as if they were shrimp cocktail.. Overall tasteless food for too much money!! Oh, and the wonton soup..DISGUSTING MUSH.

Every single item that we ordered tasted like hot vegetable oil and was hard as a rock. Our plain white rice was crunchy right out of the container.

Total amateurs. Canceled my order for no reason an hour after placing it. No apology given at all, just excuses. Not cool.

In a last ditch effort to avoid writing local Chinese food delivery off permanently we took the suggestion of a friend to try a place they had just found in Westport. We couldn't remember the name and assumed Open Rice was it, so gave it a try. The feedback from our friend was "We've finally found a REAL NYC Chinese place" We were absolutely thrilled about this order from Open Rice! From the completeness of fixings to every last bite! Usually I have to beg and plead for extra duck sauce, but happen to already had some, so this time I didn't, but had I not it wouldn't have mattered as they provided ample. Ok so as it turns out we found out the next day from our friend that this wasn't the restaurant, so the good news is we'll have another place in Westport to check out. Ok onto the food, yes I exactly as my friend had described (the other place) this is real NYC Chinese Food! Everything was perfectly fresh, tasty, and not overly greasy or destroyed with an overpowered sauce. I'm not sure what's going on in Norwalk, but we've been branching into other towns for Chinese. Our last order was from Fairfield and even that was awful. So while Open Rice deserves credit where credit is due, the unfortunate reality of my review is that this is more about it meeting a certain expectation bar that unfortunately every other Chinese restaurant we've ordered from in Norwalk for the past 3 years hasn't. We look forward to trying them again, and highly suggest anyone disappointed in local Chinese to do the same!

We had miso soup, pad thai, tofu w/peppercorn sauce, and pineapple fried rice with beef. The miso soup was so salty, it was inedible. It tasted as if a whole container of salt was poured in. We all reacted the same way when we ate it. The pad thai was dry, and the peppercorn sauce, which was supposed to be spicy, was not at all, in fact it was very bland. I was looking forward to it given the previous reviews, but my experience was extremely different.
