Food was decent as always. However, today the service was abominable. We were told to sit where we want and at first greeted by a new employee who asked our drink order. Then didn't see him again for about 20 minutes. The place was basically empty and there was no excuse for the incompetence of waiting staff. We had to ask for service several times and luckily I spoke Spanish Because that was being given as an excuse for not understanding what we needed. My husband ordered soup which never came and our eggs were cold. No one asked to refill my coffee no one asked how the food was and at the end one girl came over and abruptly said, " Ready to wrap it up?" I am hoping that the manager takes a little more care to train the staff here as the high prices do not warrant the poor service.

Rye Ridge is usually one of my favorite places in westport, i'm not sure what happened whether they got new management or a new menu but the prices were extremely high and the food wasn't that good! I got the caesar salad with a side of fries and the lettuce in the salad was depressing, ofcourse i still ate it because i was starved and it was 15$ but at the bottom of my bowl there was this nasty black stain on the bottom (i will attach photo below). I payed 7.99 for fries which looked liked they were from a freezer and they just fried them up and the portion was quite small. The mozzarella sticks were the only thing that was actually enjoyable. The waiter was very nice and did a really good job so kutos to him. I went with one other person and our total came out to 54$, isn't that insane? I do like the feel of the restaurant the lighting and paintings are cool to look at, but I don't beleive I am going to be coming back. It really is a shame because I truly loved this place!

ordered a sausage egg and cheese.. the bread was hard as a rock, they put bacon instead of sausage, and I’m not sure there was any cheese on it. Highly disappointing. Not the first order that has gone like this. I want to love it because it’s so conveniently close but it’s a no for me.

Breakfast was awful. Just don't. Challah French toast was soggy and bleh. My father tried the gluten free waffle and then asked us all to taste it to make sure his taste buds weren't broken. They weren't. Sour and old tasting. Like eating sweatsocks worn by a teenage kid in the rain for 2 weeks without washing. My mother's waffle was fine but 1 out of 3 is just bad. Lunch only.

I just had to kick myself. I was here before and it was terrible. Expensive, grumpy service and utterly tasteless food. Then I went there again and what do you know - expensive, grumpy and really bad food. Its my fault. Don't make it yours too.

Very poor experience. Sat down with my 5 year old. He asked for OJ. Later when waitress took our order he ordered a hot dog off the kids menu. The menu said it comes with juice, fries or steamed veggie, and fruit or cookie. He asked for fries and fruit and was told that’s a typo he can only choose 1. We took out food to go. It took forever for to come out. They brought my son the wrong side for his hot dog and charged us 6.99 for the oj. I asked about it being included in the kids meal and was given a dismissive “not the freshly squeezed orange juice.” They also forgot my side. I ordered the beef brisket sandwich. Dry as hell. Any bite not smothered in bbq sauce was borderline inedible. A salad, my sandwich and a kids hotdog came to $77 with tip. Unbelievable.

Went for lunch with my daughter. $79 with tip. She had Mozzarella sticks and Matzoh ball soup. I had the Chilly and tongue on a plain bagel. Coffee and a soda. The Mozzarella sticks came out almost dark brown and hard. The Chilly was just fried beef in a broth without beans, with a thick layer of cheese on top that had stayed too long waiting in the kitchen and was now cold, with some old stale chips on the side.Completely inedible!!!The Matzoh was still cold even though the broth was hot. And I didn’t even get a pickle with my sandwich! Even though they usually give out pickles when one sits down, apparently we were not pickle worthy for $79.The waiter was not to be found. Didn’t refill my coffee, would not talk to us and at the end just slipped the bill and left. Overall for a $79 meal with tip, we are never going back to have defrosted, old, stale overpriced food and terrible service.

I went to Rye Ridge in Westport, expecting it to be like the Stamford location of a couple years back. I have to say that the service was awful. It took nearly a half an hour to order after asking multiple people to order. It was not terribly crowded, so I'm not sure what is going on. Overall the ambience was nice and well appointed, but the food was in line with the service. Dried out corn beef, small portions. The burger look like it was a meatball that was stepped on, and overall a very unsatisfying meal.

The wrap was very good, took way too long to serve it, especially at lunch time.

I really enjoyed my sandwich from here, and they really filled my wrap! It came with two different types of pickles and cole slaw.
