Although the service was very good, I have to say the prices were gauged terribly. We had 2 seltzer waters with lemon for 6.50 each! 2 adults and 2 kids meals for lunch was 84.00 plus tip came close to $100 00. I mean a hot dog with fries and scrambled eggs with sausage for kids, turkey sandwich plus a salad should not come out to that price. Never going back on principal.

Very congenial staff. They let me taste an item I wasn't familiar with. Food was delicious.

It was ok. Their service was not great ordered food and server forgot to bring the order only brought half the order and brought the other half when we reminded him. Did not even brought the spoon and fork. He expected us to eat with butter knife ?.

We took our foster kids for brunch. The bacon was hard and tasteless .. the French fries were cold and awful. The eggs were ok but the waffle was actually good. All in all, pretty disappointing... We won't be

Ok, so, I feel like I have the pedigree to review a diner. Growing up on Long Island with many late nights diner meals and even parked cars at one. I can say that this diner is extremely solid! First, cleanliness creates "ambiance" in a diner. It's roomy, not cramped and cluttered, which is nice. Plenty of helpful staff. The food has an above diner quality at least in the patty melt, fries with gravy (the gold standard test of a diner IMHO). The PM cooked perfectly, good quality and delish! They serve theirs with bacon, if you it like that way, but, I go for OG patty melt. My dining mate (nameless to protect the innocent) had not one, but, two Belgian waffles. Excellent. I think this place is great and next time I will explore the menu a bit. They even have mixed drinks, beer and wine, btw. Go and enjoy! Oh, I have to try the milkshake too!

Been coming here for 20+ years. Perhaps it is nostalgia, or perhaps it’s the wonderful food, but I can’t say enough positive things about Sherwood.Easy location off the 95 means whenever I drive from Boston to New York, I always make Sherwood my spot to stop

This diner isn't what it used to be. I was disappointed. I used to go there for lunch during the 1990s and early 2000s. It was better then. I don't think I'll be going back. The service was lousy, and the food was disappointing. The parking is horrible.

Great service, but bland and mediocrefood... Asked for fries well done and the came out soggy, almost as if they were microwaved. Everything had no flavor to it, I would not repeat that pretty hard to mess up french fries
