Ahhhhh. What a spot. The decor, the coffee, the service, ambiance. All of it is out of this world! Get the bread in the pot: it is so unique and always accompanied by a flavored butter.. just delicious!!!!

Lovely stop for breakfast or lunch. Kind of loud. Service was excellent. Main courses came before we finished our soup, but almost zero wait time for both courses. I had eggs, which were good. My friend had chicken pot pie which looked good. Note, signage to find the restaurant from Route one was not good. Even as I made my way inside, wasn't sure I was in the right spot. Will be back!

We love Terrain Cafe and the store but had a mixed experience this time. We were seated near the bar which was very busy and not as nice as the garden room. We had to repeatedly ask for coffee and refills. Other special drinks arrived in a timely fashion, the bloody mary was very good. Coffee and cappucino are served in tiny cups so not great value there. The table was too small for our group. One in our party ordered french toast and it was cold. It was taken back and returned warm but without the granola. Daughter loved her grilled cheese and we all loved the flower pot bread and butter. However it felt like our party of 5 should have had 2 breads since it's so small and one is given to a party of two. The breakfast “board” which used to be served on a board is now served on a dinner plate and was just ok, small and nothing special. Chicken pot pie was small and had a soupy consistency and very thin “crust”., not like a pie crust at all. No side with that and also not great value for price. Burger was fine but very few fries given. We were disappointed honestly.

The only reservations available were at the bar. The service was outstanding but a bit cramped. Next time will make sure to get seating at tables. The food was excellent and very delicious.

I've been eating at Terrain cafe for years and have really enjoyed it in the past. My family and I went for brunch on Sunday and we were all very disappointed. First, our server was inattentive. He brought my husband's coffee without any cream or sugar. When we finally got his attention, he came back with cream and sugar but my husband's coffee was cold. My Father ordered a second cappuccino and it took over 30 minutes to arrive. All of our entrees (avocado toast, harvest bowl, shrimp and grits, terrain breakfast) tasted bland or just not up to the usual standards. Also, Terrain used to have several vegan options on the menu. Now, they only have one. I'm not sure if the chef has changed but something has certainly changed. We were so disappointed as this was a family brunch. We won't be going back any time soon. There are many more and better options in Westport.

The atmosphere is absolutely beautiful, otherwise everything fell a little short. Our server was very friendly and checked on us several times, which was good. It did take a long time for the food to arrive, and when it did it was lukewarm. I asked the woman who brought us the food for an extra serving of ketchup and she never returned. The bread was delicious, and so was the cranberry mocktail, but everything else was just about average. We had the quinoa fritters and the burger. Nothing was bad, just not particularly memorable.

I have eaten at Terrain many times and have enjoyed the food. Last night the food was a disaster. Not sure who was in the kitchen, but all of our dishes were pretty bad. The plating was poor and the food disappointing. They were also out of hamburger and salmon at 6:30. It is my neighborhood go to restaurant, but will not be returning for a long while.

we went on sunday evening and enjoyed a lovely bottle of wine and cheese and prosciutto charcuterie board. the board was abundant with cheese choices, fruit, jelly, mustards, pickles and honey. there was plenty of crostini to sandwich all the cheese. we rounded out the eventing with a shared quinoa bowl. our server was attentive but not too intrusive. it was the perfect evening

What a wonderful concept! An indoor and outdoor nursery with a restaurant in the middle. I frequent this place quite a bit as the vibe here is special. The restaurant has two settings, one within an enclosed area with plenty of lighting and glass walls yet you still feel connected with the nursery. The other is like a bar with seatings around it, less private but a whole different vibe as you enjoy the overhanging plants and feel more connected to nature. But wait there is more! Beyond the restaurant there is a whole world of plants, pots, soaps, waterfalls, decorative ornaments and even design consultants to help you with your green obsession. The food itself is fresh, service is pretty quick and presentation is always appealing. I have to make a shout out to the staff. They hire and train to really make one feel at home and comfortable. Very attentive staff, who service with a smile. If you are in the area, do check this place out.

Delicious lunch with my mom at Terrain cafe on a Saturday afternoon! We shared the marinated portobello ciabatta sandwich and the pear and Gorgonzola salad. More than enough food! everything was delicious! The service was outstanding. Our waiter, Andrew, was incredibly attentive to us and without asking split our meal onto two plates for us. The café was quite crowded, but we were able to carry on a conversation easily. Had fun shopping in the garden shop afterward. Highly recommend!

Benjamin was attentive and so helpful from the moment we were seated. He made a wine recommendation that was excellent...Klinker Brick. Our food was delicious. Short Rib special and Halibut were both cooked perfectly. The Artisan Cheese Plate was plentiful. Really enough for 2-4 people. Always an excellent experience at Terrain.

Two of us in the party of 5 ordered the tuna. Sorry to say this was a huge disappointment. Seared tuna should be properly seared. This was neither seared nor was it medium rare which is how we ordered it. The rice cake was soggy too. I go out to dinner because I wanna have quality food when I'm paying a good chunk of money for an entree, otherwise I can make it at home 100 times better I'm sorry to terrain you failed on this one. I wanted to ask for a refund or a different entrée, but it didn't feel polite or festive given that we were all having a good time. I like the idea of the coconut rice cake in theory practice didn't work.
