The cashier was speaking to someone on her phone while taking my order and while preparing the order Added Munster cheese instead of mustard and over steamed the milk for the latte I couldn’t drink.

We moved away from Westport about 6 years ago, but we go back every summer and our first stop is Village Bagels!! Before moving, we enjoyed Village Bagels in Westport for 8 years. The rainbow bagels are a unique twist on a classic and my kids childhoods are full of happy rainbow bagel memories. Thank you, Village Bagels! We’ll see you this summer!

We picked up two pre ordered trays of bagels and pastries this morning. Harry was there with every thing ready and even surprised us with a few extra bagels and spreads. He was cheerful and kind, definitely a bright spot on a rainy morning! The bagels were delicious, crispy outside and soft inside. The spreads were delicious and had great flavor, not too strong, just right. Village bagels always does a great job either for breakfast or lunch. Definitely a neighborhood go to!

I picked up some bagels a few weeks ago since I was having a guest over. I don't have a favorite bagel shop because I never really buy bagels but I was next door at Homegoods. They were so good! They are the perfect bagel - crispy on the outside and soft on the inside even after toasting. I even froze some and defrosted them and they were still perfect when I toasted them. Once those were gone I went back for another batch. I think I might not be able to live without these bagels now. Also, they have good flavors, including rainbow which some places don't have. And the veggie cream cheese is good too. Long story short, I now have a favorite bagel shop!

I’ve been going for breakfast to this place for years. Breakfast is good but do not order a side of home fries. They are now giving you 1/3 of the container, three tablespoons for the $2.50 order. Brought it to their attention today and she apologized and when on the road with my breakfast, the same thing happened. The container was less than half. Also, check your order before you leave. It’s a 50/50 shot that it’s right. There are times something is missing.

Order a panini with extra chicken cutlet and had to throw half of the chicken out. It was harder than a rock. Kitchen people should pay more attention to this. Unfortunately I didn’t have time to go back to complain.

Went for the first time today. $5.30 for a bagel with cream cheese is outrageous. The bagel was mediocre and I asked for it toasted and it wasn't. Will not return.

Food is mediocre, counter people not very friendly, they act like they are doing you a favor in preparing your food. Bagels aren't bad. Not the sort of shop that invites you in. There are many other places to go- there is no reason to go back.

I hadn't been to this place in a while and now I remember why. Lackluster bagels. This morning I ordered a toasted everything with chive cream cheese. I paid for the bagel and left the store only to open it up to find an untoasted everything with plain cream cheese. Why isn't there a better bagel shop in Westport??

John B. Westport, CT Harry, the manager of Village Bagel is exceptionally helpful when it comes to service. A group of retired men meets for coffee daily and it's like being at home. The coffee's hot and the wide variety of plain and specialty bagels are made daily and are delicious. In addition, he provided everything for a weekly outing for the Y's Men of Westport/Weston on-time, exactly to our specifications and he went above and beyond to ensure we were satisfied. The event was successful and we'll be using Harry and his team for future events.
