It wasn’t what we expected. Ordered salmon roll , rainbow row which tasted like grocery store sushi. Kani salad was thrown together and not mixed. Took another 10 minutes to wait for food when I arrived. Terrible wouldn’t go back.

My daughter and I were in the mood for Sushi and happened to be in the area. So we went here based on Yelp reviews. The inside of the establishment is small, so if your looking to have a get together, this place might not fit your needs. Otherwise, the staff is friendly and the restaurant is clean. They have a wide variety of food and sushi options to choose from. I do not remember the names of the rolls I ordered but they were vary good. I did order the tuna tartar and it was good. My daughter ordered the Philadelphia rolls. We had a good time, if in the area I recommend.

So pleasantly surprised! Cannot speak as to the location itself, service, etc because we ordered to go, but we know we will be back either for take out again or to dine in (although my mom who picked up said it was very small and gave her the impression they may mainly focus on take out and delivery). We were going to go somewhere else, but they were closed and this popped up on Yelp so we decided to give it a try. Everything was so good - the tuna tartare was finely ground tuna and had an almost sweet flavor, served with a delicious chipotle sauce. Was a big portion for an app. The seaweed salad was also a pretty big portion and we ended up saving it for the next day. Gyoza was standard but good. The Mount Fuji was so good - a bunch of different types of seafood with a lot of flavor. I barely even added soy sauce because it overpowered the more gentle but present flavors of all the fish. For rolls, we got the pink lady roll, spicy girl roll, sex and the city roll, and yamafuji roll. Each one was better than the last and I'd get them all again! They were BIG and filling. Last thing we got was the sushi pizza which was SO GOOD. The "crust" was a scallion pancake and it had so much flavor. Would definitely order everything again!

I just ate with my family at yamafuji. There are 2 tables count them 2! Service is horrendous. Our food sat there until it was cold couldn't find the waiter so we said loudly isn't that our order??! Another 2-3 minutes go by finally someone brings it over. Nothing much is more disgusting than ice cold shrimp tempura. This of course was after we asked for my shrimp hand roll to be served right away as I really enjoy it hot. We did complain and they made another. The other food also sat around and wasn't warm. Oh forgot to mention we had to get up and get the hand roll ourselves. They mainly do take out. But be warned the food sits for a long time. We will never go back

Absolute gem. Moved to the area from NYC a year ago and this is the best roll style sushi in town for takeout. Blows pink sumo out of the water IMO. Very fairly priced and the fish is consistently great quality.
Great sushi and not too expensive. My favorite place to get delivery sushi near Fairfield.
