This was the saddest dining experience I’ve ever had. I do not place blame on the wait staff at all. They seemed to have been dealing with an impossibly challenging situation in the back and there was little they could do to remedy it. When we walked in, the waitress warned us that they were out of many menu items. We should have turned around then but how were we to know to what extent that would impact our dinner? As we made our order, the waitress kindly let us know when some items were out and we pivoted to others instead. No big deal. Then the bibimbop came out and we were told “the sauce” would come out soon. We watched the bibimbop sizzle away for 10min and then soy sauce was brought out for it. Not gochujang. We asked several times for gochujang and were told that they were making it in the back, and then that they would try to find some for us, and finally we were told that they did not have any. I repeat: this Korean restaurant did not have gochujang. So after watching our bibimbop sizzle away for 15min, our hunger got the better of us and we eventually just ate it plain. Then, the soon dubu came out. No rice. We politely asked if we could have some rice with it and were told that they were making it. We waited 20min for the rice. The mushroom soon dubu was bland and they just used button mushrooms. You’re better off getting some BCD Tofu House soon dubu packets instead (which are so good, if you haven’t tried). We were so disappointed by this experience. It seems like they had some terrible supply issues and should have just shut down for the night instead of serving us below standard meals. Considering that they were out of gochujang, I think they were adjusting recipes for their shortages and still serving them to us, instead of just telling us that they were missing ingredients and couldn’t make them. They seem to have great reviews though, so I’d like to think any other time they actually are able to make and serve quality Korean dishes, but tonight was certainly not their time. Definitely not worth the $67 we paid for 3 dishes. If you know your Korean dishes, don’t go on a Sunday night when management shamelessly sells you subpar food that is missing key ingredients.

This is the best Korean restaurant ever! Could not recommend this place enough! Food came out 5 minutes after ordering and the servers are so nice! The flavors are unreal, you cannot go wrong with anything from the menu! We highly recommend the spicy bulgogi, pork tangsuyuk, and beef soon soup! We’ve had this place twice now and will be much visiting more!

Angry Tofu offers a great selection of Korean Classics. Don’t let the prices fool you the meals sizes are worth every penny. The seafood pajeon was loaded with shrimp, squid and mussels. The Tofu Soup had a smooth texture, and great spice. For being in the middle of CT the food quality made me feel like I was in Palisades Park or Fort Lee, NJ.

Truly a hidden gem in Wethersfield. Everything was delicious, we particularly enjoyed the side dishes, the dumplings, tbookki, and soft tofu soup with kimchi. Service was also great. Can’t wait to come back!

We had the la galbi and the gamjatang. It was one of the best meals of my life. Definitely pricey but the quality was exceptional. Jesus is the only way to Heaven. Please read the Bible!
