Stopped in to grab a bite, but there was a sign on the door saying the restaurant has permanently closed. Sad to see this happen because they've been around since as long as I can remember...I'm going to guess since at least the 70s. Great place to grab a Two Moons over Miami in the middle of the day or when you're coming back from a concert at 2am and you're craving some pancakes.

Only 2 staff on duty. People waiting to be seated left. Mgr was doing the cooking. Customer next to us had burnt pancakes and almost raw bacon. Which caused another customer to just send their bacon back. I noticed our portions were alot smaller than usual. Hashbrowns which I love really had no flavor. Just a bad experience.

If I could give no stars I would.....! Ordered breakfast for dinner and went to pick it up when I arrived the food wasn't ready for its scheduled pick up time. I looked around there wasn't many people in there either. They said it would take a moment I waited 20 mins in store on top of the 30mins I waited for the online order. While I waited I observed the server cleaning up tables and wiping things down and touching literally everything, and even scratched his head. He then proceeded to the food area which is in plain sight opened a banana and cut it got some strawberries and put it into my order on top of my pancakes. He touched my food with NO GLOVES and didn't WASH his hands. Very unsanitary I was mortified and threw the food out. I will never order from here again. I normally have my food door dashed but I'm so glad I picked it up because that's so disgusting and I was really upset.

When we got there we waited almost 15 minutes to be seated and once seated I was placed in a section where the ceiling was leaking and water kept dripping on my head. I had to complain to be moved and when they did finally find us a new table and take our order it took forever to get our food and some of thr items were cold.

Guys, it's a Denny's. I don't understand why people come down on chain restaurants so hard. We meant to eat at Chips but we found out it closed in June of this year. So we drove across the street to this Denny's. The staff was very friendly. One employee came over and gave our 2 girls stuffed animals. The kids's birthday cake pancakes came out fast, which we appreciated. Our baby spilled my coffee all over the table and the floor and they came out and cleaned it up. All the food was tasty: southwest bene, grand slam, pancakes. I would recommend this Denny's.

Our waiter Phillip was awesome! He was very nice and got our drinks right out! He had our food order right and brought it out in a timely manner! Our drinks never got empty with him! The food was really good! If I'm ever in town again I would definitely go here!

Been coming here on and off 30 years and the good and service have never been better. Sure the roof line could use some work and the air conditioner is nearly mom functional, but the food was cooked perfectly. The veggies in my wife's inlet were perfectly sauteed, and the hash browns were perfectly crisped on top and soft underneath. Philip was awesome to talk to and kept the drinks filled. We'll be back :-)

Stopped by on a road trip for Fourth of July weekend. Restaurant wasn’t busy at all when we walked in. Server rarely checked up on us and when he dropped off napkins and straws just basically threw them on the table. Lastly and most importantly, our food took over 45 minutes to come out and server didn’t come by once to check in or update us on the situation. Don’t expect much from a Denny’s but come on. Beyond absurd and unfair to make patrons wait for an hour for a couple of eggs, bacon and toast. After we complained, the server finally brought our food and pretty much threw the plates at us and walked away. We had to call for him to come back to ask for hot sauce and more silverware because he didn’t ask if we needed anything else. Worst customer service ever. No managers ever came up to apologize, to even offer to discount anything, send over a free dessert, etc. Nope nothing. We had to get up numerous times ourselves to walk up to the front and ask other employees for coffee refills. Employee never came back after he threw our food at us. Food was sloppily presented and hastily made you could tell even after the long wait. We’ve stopped by this chain for many decades on road trips across the country and have never really had any complaints. Never coming back. I don’t care if you’re a Denny’s or a McDonald’s there’s still a service that is being paid for that should be provided at the bare minimum which we didn’t receive.

We waited 1hour or more for breakfast we did not get a full breakfast. And by that time we got tired and left. Waitress never come back to said I apologized for the delay or nothing. The 2 servicers at front can do more then just walk around and please we understand everyone is busy but costumers first.

I have breakfast on occasion, mostly when traveling as they are consistent in what they serve. Yesterday, Sunday, I stopped in about 11. The place was busy but there were open tables and booths. I asked the register if we had to give our name to wait for a table. I was told no but still had to wait. The host was rude and it seemed we were putting her out. I don't recall her name but she had tattoos on both arms in script. We were lead to the back of the restaurant by the kitchen. There were other tables and booths open and I told here her selection was not good and would she clean the booth in front by the window. Begrudgingly she did and seated us. Long story short. We were not given water silverware, napkins, asked if we wanted coffee until 45 minutes later after I got up, asked who our wait person was , Philip, and asked if someone could bring a glass of water. The water came. Ten or fifteen minutes later, I got up again, approached Philip again and asked what the problem was and when would we be able to order. Now this is about 50 minutes after entering. Philip came with my coffee and left not saying a word. Ten minutes later I approached him again and asked if it might not be a trouble to bring a spoon so I could stir my coffee. It was cold but I drank it anyway. 10 minutes or so later, the breakfast came and it was Denny's usual good. The only plus was the Bus Boy, Anthony, who We watched during the time we waited. A fellow in-his late thirties, early forties, constantly working, cleaning tables, sweeping the floor, giving out menues and seating customers even though it wasnt his job. I called him over and congratulated him on his industry and work ethic. He worked harder then others put together. Management if they have anything on the ball, should recognize what a good worker he is and give him more responsibility. I'm not sure what Philips problem was, but in addition to poor service, never came by to check on us or ask if we needed anything. Others that came in after us were fed before us with someone stopping by to check on them. Could it be possible that being a bi racial couple have anything to do with this? In all, I have to blame management for their poor training of associates as to what is acceptable and what is not. Get on the ball guys so customers look at their dining experience in a positive way and want to come back. I usually tip 20-30% as wait persons have a tough job. in this case I didn't.

Went to Denny's in Wethersfield with great anticipation, as we haven't been to one in years. However, this one is the pits. I got one of the slams with pancakes. The pancakes were actually tough, the home fries were practically raw, and the eggs with cheese were tasteless. My wife's bacon was tough on one side, and partially raw on the other. It's obvious that all this stuff was nuked, and probably re-nuked. The waitress forgot my wife's bacon order to start with, and the coffee refills never came. Now I don't blame the waitresses, I blame management. These two girls were working their butts off, besides waiting on tables, they were cleaning them off as well, along with cashing out the customers. The place itself was about three quarters full, and two waitresses weren't nearly enough to handle the customers. Not to mention the health issues of handling money, dirty plates, and then serving food. Very, very, disappointed, and we hope other Denny's aren't as bad as this one.

Many mistakes were made during our visit- we sat for 20+ minutes while orders were butchered or mixed-up for other patrons. This restaurant was obviously experiencing a staffing crisis. Philip made the best of everything however, and his ability to maintain a calm and pleasant demeanor in the face of chaos kept us from leaving and just hitting a drive-thru. Though Stephen A. Smith was screaming at us from the TV after Steph Curry broke some record and though I was road and city-weary, and eating the most average cheeseburger of my life, Philip's transcendent grace got us back on the road towards our comfortable destination and a good night's rest. Even my surly teenage children admired Philip's brilliant work ethic that night.

The waiter became upset because I didn't want to sit next to a guy who was coughing. He said I was only one person and didn't need to sit in a booth. I sat down anyways and replied you only have 20% of your tables full what difference does it make? He stormed away, if the manager hadn't walked over and ask me and the table behind me if we've been served he wouldn't have come back. I was sitting there for at least ten minutes, no drink or food order. I had to wipe crumbs off the table, the food was bland. First and last time here.
