I'm back in CT and love love love ice cream. Woke up craving some so I found this spot in Wethersfield. I had Blackraspberry Oreo with Campfire Smores it was deliciousssss ???. Like so freaking good!! As soon as I finished I couldn't wait to go back. Def will be trying everything they have especially the milkshakes. Next time I'm def getting marshmallow fluff as a topping. If you live in CT and haven't been there yet you're sooo missing out!!

Always a good experience. The owner is all about having a good family experience, so the employees are always friendly. This is cash only, but they do have an ATM! This is one of our kids favorite places to go. It's usually too packed to eat indoors, but there are a lot of places to sit and eat outdoors. There's a playground for littles not too far away, a cove to walk to - for skipping rocks or fishing, and a few other places to sit and eat at, or just walk around town for pieces of history.

Could never get tired of this place! Old Wethersfield looks so awesome during October and it's so nice to walk around and check out all of the halloween/autumn themed deco. it's practically a mini-Halloweentown! I tried the Nerds Explosion and it was yummy! my friend enjoyed the Cookie Monster flavor. service was quick and staff was friendly (per usual).

Super charming little ice cream shop located in the heart of Old Wethersfield, a picturesque small town. We got junior sized cups of "Cookie Monster" and "Nerds Explosion". The servers were friendly and accommodating! They do not accept cards, cash or venmo only, but there is also an ATM inside. Highly recommended stopping by and enjoy spending the day walking around the cute little town!

Location, colorful mums, and outdoor seating made this place inviting. I order a small cup of ice cream, the young lady filled it to the brim. She was very patient as I took my time deciding. I had ordered an Oreo coffee with Nutella as a topping. Overall very pleased with that combination and the ice cream itself was very smooth. The husband and I enjoyed eating our treats outside. The price is comparable to the general ice cream shops. Overall, I would definitely go again.

Screaming with excitement for all these fall flavors! First time stopping by Main Street Creamery & Cafe, we were blown away by how many flavors of ice cream they had. They had a generous list of seasonal flavors that we tried the Pumpkin Cheesecake, Apple Caramel Crumb and White Russian. We also got a scoop of Grapenut. The ice creams were super flavorful, generous scoops, but we wished that the Pumpkin Cheesecake had cheesecake pieces in it. It happened to be a beautiful Saturday. Before we headed into the cafe, a group of bicyclists rolled up. It made the line fairly long and outside the building. The staff was super fast scooping those scoops! They finished the line in no time and we didn't have to wait too long. They had a board outside with the flavors for the day that helped us get an idea what flavors we wanted before we got inside. The area is super cute, an adorable little town to walk up and down, checking out the neighboring shops. We look forward to visiting again around the holiday season. Heard they have a delicious Eggnog ice cream that I will have to try for myself.

SORRY, but pricey and poor service and we've actually gone back a few times. Fudge is good but not great. Ice cream flavors are limited as it's a small shop.

This place is always raved about, in fact, I believe they made the list for one of the best ice cream spots in CT. I have to say, it’s cute & I really enjoyed the vibe of the cafe itself with the decor. There’s not a lot of seating inside, but there’s a decent amount of seating outside. Although a bit on the pricey side, they offer a wide variety of flavors & the staff seemed nice. However, I’m 95% sure most, if not all of their flavors are made by Pralines. A lot of people like it, but it’s just not for me. The quality is relatively poor, the scoop of chocolate PB nightmare I had only had a total of 2 peanut butter cups in it. It melts fast (the amount of air in the ice cream itself makes it melt: more air = quicker melting). I’ll pass next time as there’s other spots I enjoy more.

Ice cream was ok overall, but very pricey for what you got. One of the staff was more focused on being chatty with one of the customers instead of working. I got an entire story about how the customer's college "over recruited" for the lacrosse team. I would rather have had the line move along a lot quicker by the employee doing her job instead.Won't go back because it's too expensive / not enough value.

At first I was disappointed in that they were out of the flavor that I really wanted (midnight peanut butter dream). So, I "settled" for my next prefered flavor. It was a coffee base with oreo and it was amazing! The coffee flavor was prominent, rich and creamy. Too often, ice cream places offer flavors that really don't emphasize the main ingredient - but this place did it just right. It was recommended to me by others who love it. I can't wait to go back - wishing it weren't so far away.
