My friend Cindy was kind enough to surprise my husband and I with your Stuffed peppers and Shepherd's pie... They both were absolutely delicious. I am always leery of prepared food being too spicy or too salty and this was seasoned perfectly. Our compliments to the Chef and we will certainly be utilizing your delicious meals more oftennow! Did they get a new cook because their food is lousy. I had the pasta with sausage the pasta was over cooked and was like mush and there was hardly any sausage.. Its very hit or miss. For the price and the incredibly small portions they need to get it right every time. Get food from some place else unless you enjoy being disappointed.

If the Old Saybrook Pasta Vita were to visit its Wethersfield sibling, the former would opt out of the family. It's just what many reviewers have said--it's hit or miss, but sadly not in equal proportions. We have a few go-to items that have never failed in Old Saybrook and never satisfied in Wethersfield: spaghetti carbonara which lacks the egg-smooth consistency of a true carbonara and even the cheesy flavor; and eggplant rollatini--dry and unappetizing. Neither dish is particularly complex, but neither is very good. I'm sure all the recipes are standardized, but different workers might pay stricter attention to detail, which shows in the final product. The variety of choices remains a strong point, but I wish all those choices were better.

It's always a 50/50 chance they will have what you are looking for. No consistency in quality. Sometimes the food is great other times not so much

Great food way better than Olive garden. Prices are not bad, friendly staff. Chicken parmesa and chicken curry are my favorite dishes also the vegetarian stuffed peppers is just delicious.

Pasta Vita’s food was just ok, except for their Beef Stew, which was great , but, as with all their entrees, very overpriced (Beef Stew=$29.95 for two). My wife and I decided it so much better and much cheaper to continue to cook for ourselves! PS - Don’t get the Cheese Lasagne, turns into cheese soup with very little lasagne pasta!!!
