“Mia, her chefs, and her staff worked with us to create a completely custom menu for our wedding. We began with a tasting back in the summer. The food was extraordinary, and when we left, we knew that the other caterers would find it difficult, if not impossible, to emulate the standard of excellence she set. That proved to be true. We hired her knowing that the food was going to be something very special and that our guests and we were going to be treated to an uncommonly special meal at our wedding. On the evening of the reception, Mia knocked it out of the ballpark, serving every single menu item we picked (cocktail hour appetizers, salad, bread, butter, spreads, two different main courses (steak and chicken), pasta, sides, desserts, and a signature cocktail) at the same level of quality -- and we believe even higher -- as the tasting. We received countless accolades from our guests regarding the food. The things that people commented on the most were: lamb lollipops, the salad and dressing, and the prime rib. For sure, the fact that the meal was perfect contributed significantly to the overall success and enjoyment of our wedding, and so we are thrilled to give Mia and D'oro our highest recommendation!“
“Lovely little polish delicatessen and grocery store. Got a Poniatowskis Rebellion and some potato pancakes for later!2024: This place changed, and I don't think so much for the better. I appreciate the friendly service and the different variety but I miss the Polish market shopping experience because now it's limited items. There are not many items in the freezer selections. The polish sandwiches have changed, and some of the staples are gone. Took a chance and tried some barbecue and was not too impressed. The barbecue sandwiches could definitely use more barbecue sauce, and I'm not really sure how they're making the mac and cheese. This is only an opinion, and like I said, I did appreciate the friendly service. I'll go back and try something different for sure, but I do miss seeing the polish lady friends who would make excellent sandwiches with a smile and throw in that bag of chips!“
“Merlot on the Water and Victoria are both truly amazing. I can’t say enough about how incredible this venue is. It was everything we wanted and more. We knew from the day we came for our tour and met Victoria that this was it. Victoria knows her stuff and makes the process seamless- she is absolutely an added bonus. Our wedding day was flawless. The decor was set up perfectly, our guests raved about the appetizers and food all night, the drinks were on point and the take down of decor was done before my mom/ wedding party even attempted to clean up. I also feel like it was a great value for everything we got in our package. Now that we’ve gotten some photos back from our October wedding, I can confirm that the venue and the landscape photograph BEAUTIFULLY. Wouldn’t change a thing about this day, or venue. You can choice from a variety of waffle cone and topping types. Their staff are always friendly and helpful. Pricing is a bit higher than some of the other ice cream chains, but you get what you pay for.“
