Really great! I’d put it in my top 3 Mexican places in CT (the others being Taquerias Las Salsas in Bridgeport and Don Memo in Westport - very different experiences). Great salsa, delicious al pastor quesadilla, solid enchiladas. Will definitely be back for more.

Ventured out to Woodbridge in search of El Gallo and it didn't not disappoint. Steak ranchero bowl for me and pupusas for my husband with a side of guac to share. Perfect yummy meal

Wow! This is a must try if you are anywhere in CT! The most delicious and authentic food. Super friendly service and a cute seating area. Everything we tried was fresh and delicious. The restaurant seats about six, and takeout is an option. We had delicious hot churros for dessert! Do yourself a favor and stop by!

Got carnitas tacos, they come three at a time. Sooo good!!! It was fast and the atmosphere was nice, calm and decorated. But seriously, the tacos were amazing!!! Definitely going back!!!

I went to go pick up my food and was early so I paid and I left no tip so they were upset apparently and when I got home and started to eat, I discovered they gave me tacos with the fat part of the meat inside not even edible couldn’t even eat 2/3 of the tacos. very disappointed and will not be returning. the food was 1/10

If you want a quaint but excellent Mexican food experience, El Gallo is the place. We had a Tica burrito and chicken and shrimp quesadilla and it was exquisite! The color scheme and decorations were nice and the service was great. There are a few small tables to eat at, no tableside service which is expected. When you are in the area, try El Gallo. You won't regret it.Parking: Parking is in a shared lot since this business is in a plaza with other businesses.

Have been there 3 times. Excellent food every time. The most authentic Mexican we’ve found in our area. Had tried el pastor & Birria meats and enchiladas with mole. All absolutely delicious! The real deal.
