“This café is a complete gem in Woodbury! I had a French toast, bagel with bacon, egg, and cheese, and it was phenomenal. My favorite part was the rose hibiscus latte ? 10 out of 10 will be back with my daughter and probably remote work as well?“
“Do t know why the stars are low in this. Husband had meat rav I had chicken Marsala good bread for dessert husband had the special berry cake and j had chocolate mouse cake both very good. Waitress was good as well. The only thing that wasn't so good was the iced tea maybe it was old but yea that's was it“
“My gosh!!! The food here is amazing!!!!!!! I'm talking the freshest salads pilled high with any or all of the options ( there's a ton!) I actually felt healthier after eating here. You can tell they are using quality ingredients. Gluten free options galore. We got take out but they have indoor and outdoor dining. We are local but how lucky for the Rt 84 travelers that happen to get off the highway right there to gas up and eat. A healthy fresh meal on the road is hard to find. What a little treasure in Middlebury, Connecticut“
“They are so kind and friendly here. I was warmly welcomed this morning when I went in to buy some snacks and goodies just because. I picked an item that I thought was the last item and the gentleman that was helping me was "oh I'll have to bring out some more." My response was if you have another one I'll gladly take it and they made another one for me on the fly. I was super appreciative and my fiance definitely approved. Thank you again for the kindness and the delicious goodies I'm happy to enjoy. You've made it such a welcoming environment.“
“Came here on the way to the Hidden Valley Preserve and we are so glad we did! We absolutely LOVED the full Monte. Its actually addicting, i must get another hahahaMy mom loved her grilled ham egg and cheese. The pop tart and sookie cookie were such a pleasant surprise too! It tasted like a brownie, so so good. We plan to definitely be back again for all of it!Everyone was also very nice and friendly, even when the place was pretty full!“
“Had a great lunch at Sitting Duck Tavern today. The decor is dark but interesting. Our server was fantastic. I had fish and chips and a peach Sangria. Yes, they do have malt vinegar! Great beer batter, lots of fries, good slaw. The serving size was very generous and I took about half of it home. Hubby had a beer and the chicken sandwich, he ate every bite. They serve local craft beers.“
“Gayle's is a spot to go get breakfast classics. They do it well. If you want some fancy breakfast that is 3 times the price this is not your spot. Eggs benny is my rec. service is great and super fast. Great if you have young kids who don't like waiting.“
“Wonderful little pastry and bakery shop. The place might be small but gosh! The quality is really high. I walked away with the Tres Leches (3 milk) cake and their Coconut cream tart as well as a slice of pound cake to snack on. My friend had the same coconut cream tart and ordered a bunch of their cookies - neither of us were complaining. I practically inhaled my tres leches cake. The owner is friendly as well. When I asked her which 3 milks did she use for her tres leches cake, I asked because the recipe I use has coconut milk. She said that she can't use coconut milk because "this is Connecticut" which I'm guessing means that even something as bland as coconut milk is probably too exotic for Connecticut WASPs. Still I hope this place sticks around because her offerings are wonderful and Woodbury needs some a dose of exoticness.“
