Duplex Diner is a hidden gem on 18th st. I love coming here for brunch, the atmosphere is casual yet fun and they always play fun music! The food is very good for being a diner and I highly recommend the breakfast burrito and the pancakes! Our server was a bit short with us, but overall it was a great experience!!

This review is all about trivia! Duplex Diner's trivia was highlighted in an article about the best trivia in DC, so some friends and I decided to give it a shot. First, reservations are recommended to get a table, but they book up way in advance! Either plan ahead or be prepared to be flexible- we sat at a side bar that had a good view but was next to a speaker. The trivia was really great. The organizers kept it moving, had great funny themes, and had a great mix of topics so there was something for everyone. The servers clearly know the trivia crowd and were very friendly and nice. It was half off wine bottles on this Wednesdays, which could be dangerous! Most of the people playing were there because it's a gay bar, but it was a great atmosphere and the teams were very smart. If you come, be prepared for some stiff competition!

Duplex is a standard in the repertoire at this point. It’s the vibe, the people, and the homeyness to the food. Tuesdays are my absolute fave with 1/2 price domestic beers and burgers. Mondays are also epic with 1/2 price menu items that start with “M” (get the meatloaf). Regardless, Duplex is always a great time.

I’ve enjoyed Duplex for 10+ years, mostly on M Nights when items like Meatloaf that start with M are half price. The same items that are regular price the 6 other days of the week. It’s a fun place where I’ve taken many friends over the years. All the stars are taking $$$’s into consideration. It’s a great place!I didn’t check kid friendly.. but kids would be fine.

Ryan is the reason I keep coming here. One of the best bartenders in DC. Whenever I come here Ryan always greets me with a smile which is warming and welcoming. Ryan is very professional and knowledgeable. He has excellent recommendations oneverything when it's come to drinks, appetizers, entrees, and desert. Thank you Ryan for such great customer service and being so hospitable. 5 ! When you come here ask for Ryan he is the best.

I really like this place a lot the only thing I have an issue with is the inconsistency with when they open on Uber eats. I've waited over two hours for them to allow me to place an order on Uber eats.
