My new favorite place for pizza. Everything was good on the menu. The salad and the meatballs are a must and love that you can customize your own pizza!

Good food, weird vibes. We had an amazing meal here - 2 pizzas, 2 salads and 2 desserts (pizzas and almond cake were loved by the table, although skip the rapini and grapefruit sorbet) What was weird was the service. When we walked in, no one came to seat or greet us for minutes. Instead, all the staff looked at us funny while we waited. Very weird. They didn't do this for any other patrons. Then, as we were seated and served, our servers hardly said a word to us despite being very generous to everyone else. Since tip is included, I can't blame this on being seated at the young person table of two. Odd vibes. 4.5 food! 1.5 service.

This is one of the best pizza joints in DC. It also has a great bar area. The place is usually packed. Unfortunately, they do not have any gluten-free options. I came with my wife because they had a steak on the menu. Let's just say this is not a steakhouse. The steak is prepared in the pizza oven (cross-contamination), and they only make it to medium rare. They said this was a restriction of the oven. The steak was very fatty, and I barely ate half of it. So, although their pizzas are great (so I am told) and their bar has a great vibe, I cannot recommend this place to gluten-free folks.

Very good pizzas. Not a five for me as no gluten free options. Enjoyed my salad. Always very busy so be prepared to wait even with a reservation.

Mediocre pizza. Service is nice and tip included is great, but very expensive for very subpar pizza. Would not

Pizza and vegetarian dish good after knowing that in the United States the dough is thin but the filling is abundant it can shock us Europeans but here in the USA it's a tip take a gongazol and the thick dough and gourmet filling the place the atmosphere very good. The price also just a downside the dough comes out a little toasted but that is very goodVegetarian options: They also do non-vegetarian dishes.Parking: There is nothing simpler for this station than parking on the street and at 600 a large free car park

A lot of folks complain about the soggy middle. Well, at 2Amys, as at most "Neapolitan DOC" pizza palaces, that's what it is. Me, I prefer a slice I can pick up without the guts sliding onto the plate (or the floor). Go north up Connecticut Ave to Frankly's in Kensington if you want a top-quality pizza with a properly slightly charred (not burnt) crust that doesn't flab out on you when you pick it up.

This place has very thin and amazing soft pizza crust, which is great for thin crust lovers. However, one caveat, pizzas here do tend to run a bit salty. Or maybe it was because of the anchovies on all pizzas I tried so far: - Puttanesca 2.0 pizza - love the ingredients/flavors but it was a bit too salty for me. Perhaps the anchovies made everything taste quite salty. If the saltiness level was taken down a notch, I think it would've been perfect. - Today's special cauliflower & anchovies pizza - quite salty with anchovies and capers on top of that. I don't think I'd order that again. - Polpettine al forno - good, solid meatballs Service was excellent and kind.

They make "roman style" pizza, which is code for soggy.

By FAR my favorite pizza place in DC! I just love the atmosphere - it's just casual enough that you don't have to worry about looking super nice, but the food and service are incredible. They don't take reservations so wait times can be a lot, but this does make it feel more community-oriented.

The best pizza and antipasto sides in Washington, DC area. You will not go wrong with whatever you you choose on the menu. Do not miss the homemade almond cake or cannoli for desert. Best kept secret is on Saturdays starting 4pm they serve the most amazing porchetta! Great for the family or causal yummy date night. You will be back all the time once you try 2 Amys. Enjoy!!!

I love pizza. I try pizza wherever I go. I just moved to DC and have been looking for a pizza spot to call home. I really wanted it to be 2 Amy's because the ambience is great - cozy, comfortable, lively, fun - the service is great, the personal story printed on the menu is a warm and friendly family-owned business origin story, not some big chain corporate blather or a TV chef descending-to-the-masses story. Plus the location is convenient. Sadly the pizza sucks. I've given it 3 tries, I wanted to like this place so much. And I was not expecting it, given some of the reviews. But every time the crust in the middle has been like floppy wet cardboard. Pick it up with your knife and it flops around like my kid's soggy art project. I did give it one more shot, based on a recommendation to specify crispy crust and eliminate toppings (which I was told 'will make it soggier'), but it was still just so-so. (And what's the point if you can't get toppings you want?) Too bad. Could have been a contender. Will keep looking.
