Lit bottomless but they don’t seem to recycle

Came here for hh. The servers were very attentive. They have a decent food selection for hh. The beff tidbits were my least favorite, but the calamari was good.

This was my first time here. I met one of the funniest, polite and cutest security guards, names Josh. I enjoyed a couple of drinks (orange crush and spicy hibiscus margarita) and had the happy hour Street tacos (wish they had a spicy element) then tried the 801 Burger it was decent (too many onions) especially if i was going to have a convo with the security guard. It was also reasonably priced. Will return to try more food and drinks and of course to see Josh!

Awful experience. Came for happy hour. Server, Kiah, was pleasant at first. Seated and just ignored for probably 30-45 mins while every other table was well attended. It felt very targeted and not sure why. Asked for plates, no. Asked for more drinks, never showed up (but did on the bill). Literally watched her look at us and just walk away making sure the tables next to us were very well satisfied. And the kicker is we had to pay an automatic 20%. She knew the tip was included so she had zero incentive. Never written a review before but have never felt so targeted to be ignored in my life. Had to go elsewhere to get food. Will never be back, as a local Shaw resident will be sure to avoid at all costs. Awful.

The view from the top is amazing. We went on a hot sunny Sunday and the place was full of people which made the place very vivid. The drinks however were of poor quality but very cheap. I would give it another try.

Omg so I was a little Leary about this place. But pleasantly surprised! I stuck with French toast to be safe. It was amazing! They don't use the normally Texas toast bread! I liked it! I added bacon cause I love bacon! The place is 3 stories. They put our table outside, so we ended up having to sit at the bar. We would have had to wait another 30 min to move to an inside table. I didn't like that since we did not choose to be outside and it was raining. But overall it was good. Our second bar tender wasn't very nice at all! It was clear she didn't want to work that day!

Visited this establishment for happy hour and I must say the food was very good. The drinks were also pretty strong. I opened for sitting at the bar because I appreciate how quick bar service can be. I asked the bartender for some suggestions and he didn't steer me wrong. Would definitely recommend this place if your looking for a happy hour spot.

Shared a nice bottemless brunch with my friends. 801 was great about reservations and checking in for final counts. The location is ideal on U street as there are many other bars or restaurants to hit after. It was convenient to have access to sparkling wine ourselves for self pouring with multiple flavors to choose from, for pretty cheap too! Servers are attentive with bottomless, bringing over fresh sparkling wine and juices when needed. Other brunchy or regular cocktails are also available.Food was good and inexpensive, with a variety of classic American breakfast dishes; eggs, bacon, sausage waffles etc. as well as burgers and steaks. It is convenient to split the tab as there was a QR code that has the itemized receipts to pay for each person or as a group.801 was also really nice, giving us a complimentary sundae for our joint birthday celebration! Would go again :)

I am pretty shocked at the high ratings here. The atmosphere was good, the food was decent, the service was non existent at the rooftop bar.Atmosphere - loved the rooftop, great breeze, nice views, very chill. The inside looked nice!Food- the Burger and taco were great. The popcorn chicken was meh. The crab dip I would not recommend or order again, it was a very thick cream with little crab and not a ton of flavor.Service - I can’t say it was bad, it was just non existent. Nobody greeted us when we walked in or acknowledged that we had sat down (and it was slow when we arrived). We had to go up to the bar and get the attention of the bartenders (who were hanging out, not working) to get menus. Went back up to order drinks and food and carried our own stuff to the table. Nobody checked in on us at any point or even asked how anything was when we were done.20% gratuity was automatically added to our check… which should be a base tip anyway, so that’s fine… but I did find it presumptuous. And the calculated gratuity was based on total *and* tax, which I personally have never seen.

If you're looking for decently priced brunch with bottomless mimosas, this is a perfect option. There's 3 floors here with the top floor being the rooftop. Our table ordered the brisket hash, steak & eggs and eggs Chesapeake. The eggs Chesapeake was good & the crab cake was mostly crab, not a lot of filler which was a plus! The steak & eggs surprisingly lacked flavor without the chimichurri but once you add it, it was decent. We didn't get bottomless mimosas but I did order a singular mimosa which was a good size with a pretty reasonable OJ/champagne ratio.

Went here for brunch on a Saturday recently. It wasn’t too hot then but we’re seated outside. It was okay but stuffy. Had a lovely selection of fresh juices to have for mimosas. They brought out the bottle which was nice for self pouring with juice. I had the skillet as my entree and it was tasty.
