Delicious and very friendly service! I had jerk chicken (spicy) which came with rice & beans, cabbage, plus I ordered a side of plantains and a bottle of sorrel (hibiscus/ginger drink). All were excellent. I was going to try a seafood dish but those are made fresh to order and take about 20 min whereas the other dishes come out immediately. Next time I'll have to order ahead for fish! btw I accidentally dropped a tip in a coffee mug and Andrene was very gracious about it! ☺️

I recently moved walking distance from here and I’m so happy I’ve found an authentic , good Jamaican spot! The staff is friendly, they have what’s on the menu unlike a lot of Jamaican spots ( which is a well known thing ?) . It’s clean, service is great and food is hot and great tasting!

Andrene is the mama of Petwotth, and DC is lucky to have her serving us her culture and her food. All of the meat falls off the bone, the beef patties are cooked and flavored to perfection, and she’s the nicest face to see on a tough day. I’ve been eating her food for years, and even after a long time away I feel like I’m back home. Everyone should try her food and meet her, this restaurant is simply the best you can have.
Went on a Monday afternoon and got a very good helping of chicken of the curry chicken. Returned on Thursday evening and got a ton of rice and peas and MYABE 5 chicken pieces.. Was surprised of the small portion I received. However, I will order from there again because the food is that darn good. Adding to my review ordered the curry chicken again and was given exactly 5 chicken pieces. As usual it was delicious but realized fir the cost it's not worth the drive from the DC Virginia line. I love you Andrene but don't think I'll be making that trip again. Oh who am I kidding?I'll probably go back on my word. Keep up the good food, just don't skimp on the chicken so much...

Visited 02/10/24.. Ordered jerk chicken with rice and peas and cabbage, a side of plantains and a side of collard greens. Everything was delicious and plenty of food. Jerk sauce was pleasantly spicy.. Andrene was super friendly and polite and the food came out quick and hot.. Inside was clean and nicely decorated. Street parking is available but you may have to park a bit away from the restaurant but it’s to be expected for the location.

Andrene’s is a district classic! Best caribbean food in the DMV. Prices did increase and they no longer serve plantains with meals but the quality of food will always bring me back.
