Nice quiet French restaurant near Union Station in the George Hotel. An amazing raw tuna appetizer, beautifully prepared is a must (if you like raw tuna).

Don't believe the hype. IG fooled me! I went here for brunch and was extremely disappointed. There was no live jazz music, the service was horrible, and food mid at best. I had 10:15 am reservations and was told by my waiter the bartender isn't there and would arrive in 30 mins. The bartender got there an hour later, and we were lied to about receiving complementary drinks. The food was cold. My appetizer came out after my entrée. Do not get the shrimp & grits, it has an eerie aftertaste!

Great food and service. Fantastic cocktails, delicious French food and live music on Saturday brunch! Wonderful bartenders and staff.

This is my first time going to Bistro Bis, as it's not in my typical price range. I went there after work with a few coworkers. The food and atmosphere was great with excellent service. We had a few appetizers for the table and I opted for the lamb shank.

The meal was wonderful, service was wonderful, but the tip is automatic, a bit over 20%. I would have tipped 20%, but I didn't get to decide, did I? Had service not been good I would be more than annoyed. The manager (I assume) started to quote some DC regulation, but this is the only place I've encountered during my visit that pretends this is mandatory or even routine.

Our mistake coming here on the final day of restaurant week when all we wanted was a drink and a snack as we sent a friend back to NYC on train. Service was slow... even taking our order was snail pace. And then..... the service tip was built into our check for a 3-person order of drinks and a salad. Was so NOT worth 22%. Very disappointed. Won't be back.

Food was adequate. when we arrived there were three couples ahead of us. We stood for 20 minutes after the maitre'd excised himself from the bar. The server was simply atrocious. The bus man was terrific but had to check everything with the server. The server needed us to ask for our requests more than once or twice. she wore jeans and a shirt for for a campsite. At one point I asked the bus man to request that the server open the wine so that my guest could enjoy some with the first course. She arrived 20 minutes later after we he finished the first course. The wine prices re OUTRAGEOUS. We both ate the Ossobuco as a second course. it was listed at 49.95 each. At La Piquete is costs 38.95 and at Madison LePic it is listed at 39.95. Each of the latter are fine classic dishes. Why does La Colline insist on adding extras like cherry tomatoes and small vegetables? Not normal in an ossobuco recipe but I guess the added veggies is why the entree costs so much more. This used to be a reliable, inviting place with first class service. Take an Uber to Georgetown to enjoy real French food at reasonable prices. Do not think of going here. After all the maitre'd hd better things to do that to welcome us. you will be well welcomed in Georgetown.
