Very disappointing and dishonest, they must be desperate, how awful when we order food (pad Thai) and we get at least two days leftovers, dark dry tasteless meat with very oily wilted noodles which someone threw sugar and oily sauce and heated up. We took it back to show them, and we were not after a refund or replacement, we just wanted them to know they lost a good customer. But from their reaction and the way they looked at each other the two servers they knew we are right, and still did nothing to correct their mistake.

Charming, unassuming, yet delicious. My favorite neighborhood restaurant that I would dine at even if I moved.

Great food and service. We stopped in mid-afternoon so it was a quiet time, but the service was wonderful and the kitchen was fast. Our table was cool and the location worked very well for us. A very nice experience.

Came to BKK for dinner with a friend and had a great time! We walked in around 6:30 on a Wednesday and we're seated right away. There are a handful of tables inside plus some bar style seating against the wall and some outdoor patio seating. You order and pay through a QR code and staff are also quite friendly and attentive and check throughout to see if you need anything.I had the sweet sausage rice which was flavorful and a good sized portion. It was a little heavy on the oil for me but tasty nonetheless. To drink I had a Thai tea which was fabulous. The interior is cozy and cute. Very quiet and no music playing so it's a nice place for a conversation. Would totally come back. Tasty food friendly and quick service and quaint cozy atmosphere!

Good service and ambiance but the food could have been better. I recently went here with a friend on a nice weeknight evening and we got to sit outside. Other than a rat scurrying across the pavement and a few mosquitos, it was a great patio. Our service was phenomenal-we got all our dishes within 10 minutes of ordering using the QR codes on the tables. My friend and I split the brussels sprouts and beef satay as appetizers. The brussels sprouts were delicious, had a good bite without being too crunchy, and were well-seasoned. The beef satay was cooked well, albeit more on the well-done side. The peanut and sweet dipping sauces were disappointing, as both could have used more flavor and spice. My hot and spicy noodle bowl was extremely underwhelming. While it had good spice and plenty of noodles, it had no other flavor and the chicken was bland.I would go elsewhere in DC for Thai food.

5 stars! BKK Cookshop is a hidden gem in DC that serves up innovative and transformative Thai food. The flavors are bold and complex, and the dishes are beautifully presented. I've tried a number of things on the menu, and I've never been disappointed. My favorites from the starters section are the Brussels Sprouts and Dumpling Soup. The Brussels sprouts are charred and crispy, and they're tossed in a sweet and spicy sauce that is addictive. The dumpling soup is light and flavorful, and the dumplings are perfectly cooked. From the Noodles and Rice Dishes section, I love the Spaghetti Drunken Noodles and Bangkok Spicy Noodles. The drunken noodles are made with wide rice noodles that are stir-fried with shrimp, pork, and vegetables in a sweet and savory sauce. The Bangkok spicy noodles are made with thin rice noodles that are stir-fried with chicken, basil, and chili peppers. Both dishes are incredibly flavorful and satisfying. From the Noodle Bowls section, I can't get enough of the Hot and Spicy Noodle Bowl, the Tom Yum Shrimp Bowl, The Suki Noodle Bowl, and the Green Curry Bowl. The Hot and Spicy Noodle Bowl is made with rice noodles that are swimming in a spicy broth with pork, shrimp, and vegetables. The Tom Yum Shrimp Bowl is made with rice noodles in a sour and spicy broth with shrimp, mushrooms, and tomatoes. The Suki Noodle Bowl is made with rice noodles in a clear broth with pork, shrimp, vegetables, and a fried egg. The Green Curry Bowl is made with rice noodles in a green curry broth with chicken, vegetables, and bamboo shoots. All of these bowls are packed with flavor and are sure to please. The only dish I wasn't crazy about was the Boat Noodle Bowl. I found the broth to be a bit too fatty for my taste. From the Kitchen Features section, I absolutely love the Khao-Kapao with Kai-Dao and Pik Nam Pla. I've had it with both tofu and minced chicken, and both versions are amazing. The Khao-Kapao is a stir-fried dish made with rice, holy basil, chili peppers, and either tofu or minced chicken. It's served with a fried egg on top and a side of Pik Nam Pla, which is a fish sauce with lime juice and chili peppers. The flavors in this dish are incredible, and it's one of my favorites on the menu.I also enjoy the Larb Gai, which is a minced chicken salad with herbs and spices. I've also had it with fried tofu, and it's just as good. The Larb Gai is light and refreshing, and it's the perfect way to start a meal. The side of cucumber salad is also excellent. It's made with thinly sliced cucumbers that are tossed in a light vinaigrette. The cucumber salad is refreshing and helps to cleanse the palate between bites.Overall, I highly recommend BKK Cookshop. The food is amazing, the service is friendly, and the atmosphere is inviting. I can't wait to go back and try more of the menu!

A great place to go for Asian comfort food, homey vibes, and decent neighborhood Thai food. The Pad Thai was my favorite dish I ordered from the menu, the meat dishes (Pork shoulder and Mou Ton) were a bit underwhelming but still delicious! I would consider coming back to this place to try the curries :)

I was excited to try this place due to the review high score. I was disappointed. The pad Thai was too sweet and the noodles were mushy. The green curry was also too sweet and the vegetables in seemed like heated up frozen veggies. The Thai basil was decent, nice spice. The dumplings looked good, but were bland and mushy. They do give you a lot of meat, which some people may value, but it wasn't great quality or very tasty.

i have only ever gotten take out from this place but do walk by it all the time and the location is really cute! they have some outside seating and the inside is nice, i would think it's a good date night spot for sure. my favorite from them is the spicy basil rice. it is really well seasoned and has lots of flavor (i would say it's medium or high medium spicy). i also usually get the pad thai, which isn't my favorite but is still not bad. it's a sweet variation of pad thai and i personally like mine spicy instead so if you're the opposite, i'm sure you'd love it. the chicken for both dishes is also not my favorite but again, it's overall tasty. both dishes are $17, but the portion sizes are pretty big. i also recommend the thai gyoza! they are deep fried and come with a really great dipping sauce. overall not a bad spot for some rice and thai appetizers!

Lovely service, great food (some of the best fried tofu I’ve ever had). Yummy cocktails too! Will definitely be visiting again!

Our group of four dined in last night. The appetizers were all exceptional, highly recommend: Gyoza, Thai wings, spring rolls, and the Brussels sprouts, YUM! The standout meals were the pad Thai and a rice dish with sausage and pineapple. Lots of vegetarian options too! Reasonable prices and generous portions, we’ll definitely return!
